Fifo & Citizens of the World is a project that starts in Cali, Colombia in Summer of 2007, when bassist/composer "Fifo" Rengifo invites some of the most inovative Jazz and Colombian Folklore musicians to play some of his compositions and arrangements in several performances in Cali. Following the concerts at Teatro Salamandra, Plazoleta de La Cultura, and Teatro Cristales, the ensemble got together to record in Cali’s best studio "Dial Music". This recording will soon become their first album, "People/Gente". With the release of this album Fifo is planning future appearances of the group in Colombia and around the world.
