Sounds Like
A tight fusion of varied influences coming together to a catchy, punchy and inovative new sound.
Fifth Element are a group of talented young musicians brought together by the Youth Music Build a Band project to perform at Glastonbury 2008. They sucessfully wrote (in three days) and performed an, as yet unamed, anti racist anthem at the 5,000 capacity Left Field Stage at 7.20pm on the Sunday of the festival weekend, recieving a brilliant response from the, ever discerning, Left Field crowd.
On the 8th of August Fifth Element played Underage Festival, an event for under 19s only organised by young music aficionado, Sam Kilcoyne. The band performed on the Music Space stage, with another new song, 'Pure Love', this time written only the day before, which was well recieved along with the rest of the performance.
The band also recently recorded a demo at The Premises studios in London with acclaimed producer Jason Howes at the desk. The Premises has had such major acts as The Klaxons, The Arctic Monkeys, Hot Chip and Lily Allen working within its walls alongside Jason, so the debut track recorded by Fifth Element was in safe hands.
With the currently nameless demo complete, Fifth Element are going strong so watch out for more from the band in the coming months...
