..The group Figaro_de_Montmartre combines B-sides and electronic sounds, drawing inspiration from the cabaret scene of Montmartre between 1925 and 1975 that has recently been revived by the influences of trip hop, jungle, dub, electro, and break beats. Combining their unique Electro_vintage music with a crazy stage show, Figaro_de_Montmartre have set people off dancing and dreaming at concerts across Europe, most recently in Paris, London and Bristol. Their recent album "Place à la Nuit" has reinterpreted the songs of Serge Gainsbourg, Colette Renard, Claude Nougaro and Josephine Baker, and the poetry of Aimé Césaire, within a world of sound inspired by Augustus Pablo, Lee Perry, Roni Size, Massive Attack and estimated by Mad Professor, working with the group on the title “Tout près d’ici”. The album received its final touches from Stuart Hawkes, Master Engineer at the Metropolis Studio, London (Prodigy, Faithless, Squarepusher). Figaro_de_Montmartre is composed of two songwriters and musicians: Tecla and Figaro. Figaro is a native of the Caribbean Diamond (Martinique), born on the first day of autumn in the early hours of Libra in the year of the snake. Her unique and sensual voice touches the depths of the soul. Figaro first stepped onto the stage for cabaret, theater and television, where her paths crossed those of Dyann Fuller, Roger Hanin, Malcolm MacLaren, Jimmy Cliff and Alpha Blondie. Tecla is a Leo, born in the Africa of Europe (Italy). Tecla started playing the drums as a child. Since then, he has travelled around the world in search of powerful beats and intoxicating melodies, combining the musical cultures of Egypt, Senegal, Brazil, Thailand, Jamaica and Britain. Together, they write, arrange, and compose their tunes, and entice music lovers to listen and dance in a dreamlike setting that takes on its full dimension only on stage. ..

Les Figaro de Montmartre are opening a new era in electronic music and they spread their message of humanity through a new sound called Electro Vintage. The strong complicity of Tecla and Figaro comes into its own on stage, around a metal and dreamlike decor, in the spirit of cabaret, revived by influences trip hop, jungle, breakbeat, drum'n'bass... Punk. Les Figaro de Montmartre were born in Paris, 2007. Their first album Place à la Nuit (MadeinPigalle2009) had already aroused great interest in many concerts between France, England and Italy. The songs of Serge Gainsbourg, Colette Renard, Claude Nougaro and Josephine Baker, or the poetry of Aime Cesaire, are reinterpreted in a world of sound inspired by Augustus Pablo, Lee Perry, Roni Size, Massive Attack and estimated by Mad Professor, working with the group. In November 2010, Figaro de Montmartre is the first Electro group to have crossed the doors of the Temple of Reggae, HARRY J studio Kingston, Jamaica where they produced some tracks of their new album, Natural, with the special participation of U-ROY, posing for the first time in his career on Electro music. Les Figaro de Montmartre wrote, composed and produced the twelve tracks on the bilingual album. Immersing himself along their path between Jamaica, French West Indies and Canada, the band once again confirms its originality and amplifies his message. Natural is the environment from happiness, an island made for the man who survives in 2012, stuck in the matrix of a society increasingly artificial. Today, Les Figaro de Montmartre invite you on the island of Natural to dance on powerful beats, spiced with intoxicating melodies and where everyone can find their place.
