About me:
MUAY THAI
which simply means the boxing of of Thailand), is the national sport of Thailand. This sport has been around for four centuries. In ancient times, the people of Thailand developed muay thai as a defense against enemy nations and it was tested in hand to hand combat by the ancient warriors of Siam. Muay Thai's effectiveness is unmatched in the world of martial arts due to its simple training approach: keep things basic, using only what works and train, train, train. Since the 1920's muay thai has developed into a modern day sport similar to western boxing and similarly has a global fight circuit. Muay thai makes use of four of the body's weapons: legs, knees, elbows and fists. Muay thai differs from other martial arts, as it does not have a colored belt system typical of karate and tae kwon do. Muay thai fighters test their skills in the ring, but not all practitioners fight. Techniques taught are learned quickly and are easily integrated into daily life. Its simplicity is so effective that the modern form is almost identical to it's traditional form. Muay thai has evolved to work well with a modern lifestyle. This system provides stress relief, strength, cardio-vascular fitness, self-defense and it is extremely fun. We teach authentic muay thai with basic and advanced techniques. At Fight and Fitness, we give you unmatched instruction from some of the world's greatest trainers. This is a workout that will challenge you both physically and mentally.

Who I'd like to meet:
Do I need to be in shape to join?
Absolutely not. At Fight and Fitness, our goal is to help you reach your goals, whatever they are. We are here to get you in shape, teach you great technique, and push you to your limits.
Do I need experience to start?
No. We will teach you everything you need to know. We have programs for beginners to professional fighters.
Can I try a class before I join?
Yes. Your first class is free. Just give us a call and we can schedule a lesson today. We will have all the equipment needed for your first day. We have a feeling you will love it and have fun too!
Is this sport for all ages?
Definitely. One of the great things about boxing, muay thai and m.m.a. is that anyone can do it! The moves are basic and easy to learn. Unlike some martial arts and sports, you do not have to be flexible to master the techniques.
Do women train here too?
Yes. We have many women already enrolled and some excellent woman fighters as well!
I don’t want to fight; can I still join and not get hurt?
Of course. Muay thai, boxing, and m.m.a. will get you in shape and you never have to fight. The classes are designed so that you are primarily hitting and kicking pads that your partner holds or a heavy bag. If at a later date you would like to begin sparring, that is entirely up to you. Many people train for years and never opt to spar.
What equipment do I need to join?
The only equipment we require you to have is your own gloves and hand wraps. We provide the rest of the training equipment. If you happen to forget something, we have some loaners or a fully stocked pro-shop.
Why should I join Fight and Fitness as opposed to another Muay Thai/Boxing gym?
In the age of the big cooperate gym, we kept our gym small and personal (with ability to expand the facility, in time.) We give everyone personal attention and make everybody feel welcome. Our gym is family owned and operated, so we care deeply about the success of our business! Plus, our instructors are top notch and Bunkerd is known throughout the world.
How do I get started?
Just give us a call and we can get you on your way. We can be reached at
