Press Reviews
"From big hooks and even bigger guitar riffs. Fighting at a College Level is a thinking-man's acoustic music. Seemlessly jumping back and forth, between folk and some kind of blues-punk fusion -- The only description that does Tyler any justice is BRILLIANT!"
-The Minneapolis Star Tribune
"Quite possibly the most uniquely satisfying musician I've found in recent memory."
-Anthony Grenz (Columnist for L.A. Music Weekly)
"Don't get too comfortable with genres when you are catching Tyler performing live. It is not uncommon for him to cover four to five styles of music, within one performance. Lucky for us, he does this wonderfully!"
-Seattle Daily Times
"This is truly protest music for the new generation, and it won't be long before this entire generation is listening to Fighting at a College Level."
-Alex Edgeworth (from The Denver Post)

About FIGHTING AT A COLLEGE LEVEL [New Song - 08.03.09]
Hailing from Bismarck, ND — Tyler writes a cross genre of Acoustic music, blending the sounds with a sense of Folk, Punk Rock, Alternative and many others. With a commitment to melodies that are interesting and infectious, Tyler embarked upon his musical passions at a young age. From performing at Austin City Limits, The Warped Tour, to countless solo shows. He ignited an Acoustic guitar, one-man band — writing and creating the music (and lyrics) that comprised his unique, and entertaining sound. All of the music is saturated in a lyrical message that is not only therapeutic, but at times, feels like everyone in the world is indirectly affected by the same modes of emotion.
He creates songs that evoke a strong sense of emotion in his listeners, as well as framing the feelings that existed during the moments in which the track was recorded — Tyler had released previous recordings without the backing of a "major" record company, fearing that if he signed to them before he had proven himself they would begin dictating to him, and forcing him in a direction, he didn’t want to go. So he has made the choice to remain an independent artist. You can catch Fighting at a College Level performing on the road in 2009, see the tour calendar for more information...
