Lasst uns nicht lange um den heißen Brei herum reden und gleich zur Sache kommen: Uns gefällt die Musik vom Balkan, wir lieben es, diese zu spielen und wir lieben es noch mehr, die Leute mit ihr zum Tanzen zu bringen. Doch gibt es eine Beziehung zwischen der Tarantella und dem Coceck? Ist es möglich einen Zusammenhang zwischen den Blasorchestern aus dem Balkan und italienischem Rock zu finden – angenommen, er existiert? Kann eine Gruppe schräger Vögel, aufgewachsen mit Pasta und Neckereien im Nebel Norditaliens, Klezmer-Balkan-Polka-Swing spielen ohne die Spaghetti mit Knoblauch, Öl und Paprika zu verleugnen? Die Antwort ist nicht so wichtig wie die Frage, das Ergebnis wesentlich interessanter denn logisch richtig und der Weg an sich dorthin ist faszinierend.
