UK hip hop group Figures of Speech

We formed at DeMontfort University back in 2000; from different parts of Manchester Rasputin and Mischief first dropped rhymes at a DJ Kool herc night in Leicester.

From there we got connected with some of the local MC's in leicester and started freestyling at Friday night event held at Castle rock in Leicester. This led to other night of both open mic and general hip hop ciphers.

We then met up with Sir Smurf Little (The Colony) from Hackny and Apoc The Main Roc from leicester. In 2002-3 we represented the Beat Poetry show on Demon FM for two seasons using other DJ's and rappers as guests the shows was very succesfull.

After University both Rasputin and Mischief moved back to manchester there concentrating ..ing an EP and album, still holding it down at open mic nights and other events.

Little Ne and Rasputin have friend since secondary school, little ne who was also an MC joined the movement for true UK hip hop MC's the Figures of Speech.
