ESGC(for short) is what happens when you take Slim Shady era Eminem, The Talking Heads, El-P & Nirvana, smash them together, roll them in mud, blow them up with dynamite & attempt to piece them back together. Packed with "did he just..?" quotables & menacing beats that'll leave yur original preconceptions about hiphop still intact, but briefly sub-sided. Originality breaths through the blood of Ecid's blue collar rap songs thicker than a shot of Milk & Gasoline.
Scrap Metal is made up of The Lyrics & Style of Impulse, The quick hands of DJ Pseudonym, & the Beats of Ecid. Put these things together & you have an album that sounds like what GZA “Liquid Swords” would sound like if The RZA was into chopping/looping pitch bended punk samples & The GZA grew up listening to Freestyle Fellowship. Fill In The Breaks is an Independent Hiphop label based out of Minneapolis, MN. Incubated from 2001 to 2005 & officially hatched January 2006. Since becoming official we've released 7 albums, toured the US obsessively, bum-rushed the internet highway, & left whack MC's abroad running home for mommy.
We pride ourselves on making Albums, creative, honest, bad ass Albums, not singles, not MP3's, ALBUMS(remember that crazy little concept).
