Filmmaking, listening to great music, performing as an ETA yup that basically sums me up :)
Music
Above all, my all time favorite singer is the one and ONLY Elvis Presley. No other artist can, ever has, or ever will come close to the legacy that he left on both American, and world culture, and it is that, why he has the title of Artist of the 20th century!
And of course there are many other great singers and bands I listen to, all great artists as well, such as Johnny Cash, The Statler Brothers, Ricky Nelson, Sha Na Na, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins The Beatles, Chuck Berry The Andrew Sisters, Bing Crosby, The Beach Boys, Tom Jones Dean Martin and a lot more! But those are a few of the greatest
Which Elvis era are you?
You are 1970's Elvis. Your popularity is incredible at this point. You have performed the very first ever via-satilite concert, and you are performing 2 shows a day almost every day of the week. You have added a lot of karate moves to your performance, and the majority of your concerts are completley sold out! Take this quiz!
Of course any Elvis movie, but especially Jailhouse Rock and Elvis On Tour. Then of course there is Rebel Without A Cause, The Aviator, Forrest Gump, The Blues Brothers, The Sting, The Buddy Holly Story, Saving Private Ryan, Pearl Harbor, Island in the Sky, ELVIS (with Kurt Russel), Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, The (so far, hopefully still more to come) Spider-Man Trilogy, Flags of Our Fathers, On The Sands of Iwo Gima, That's The Way It Is, Back To The Future, The Time Machine, Walk The Line, King Kong (both good, but more the 1933 version!) THE SIMPSONS MOVIE!, --- heck the list can go on for a long time!
------------------------
This is one of my all time favorite movies also!
THE THREE STOOGES, The Simpsons, Family Guy Malcom In The Middle, American Dad, everybody loves raymond, that 70's show, south park, crank yankers, prettey much anything within the literature like minds of fox and comedy centeral, lol
And also pretty much anything on the history channel
Books
I don't read as often as I should, but some things I really enjoy reading about are Filmmaking, Elvis, and American history
About me: Hi, I'm Bill. Im 18 and a senior at Carl Sandburg High School. As you may have noticed from the myspace, I am in fact into older music, but the reason is, is because of the greatness that it left and still continues, more specifically, I am talking the golden age of the birth of Rock and Roll! And hopefully you also realize by now, that I am a huge Elvis Presley fan. I admire the legacy that he left on the world so much, in the world of music, no one can compare to the greatness that is Elvis. As Ive heard and said often, "The Sun Never Sets on a Legend" and that is very true for Elvis, because his legacy today is greater than ever, and as a 16 year old fan, I am trying to keep his legacy at a great potential, and I respect every other fan out there that keeps the name Elvis alive! Ive read many books and seen many videos (of course his movies and documenteries) on the man's legacy, if you want to try and stump me with a question about Elvis history (which I think should be a class, Id ace it! :P ), go nuts! Only one artist was given the name of Artist of the 20th century, and no one deserved it more than the man that received it, Elvis. Also, I am in fact an ETA (Elvis Tribute Artist), I do not want anyone to think right away I am an impersonator, I certainly do not think I am Elvis, nor do I think I can perform anywhere near the greatness that he did, and I most certainly do not think I can replace him. That is the difference between an impersonator, and clearly, a tribute artist. I perform as him on stage, no more, and even then, it is only to give Elvis a good name. And as well, as much as I do put devotion into the tribute, I do not plan on making a career out of being an ETA, I highly respect those who do, but if anything, I'd consider it a professional hobby, because I do put as much accuracy and devotion into the performacne as I can. As any ETA can agree, it's all for respect of Elvis.
My passion in life is filmmaking, and it has been for about 10 years now. Directing, producing, you name it. I have for the past 2 years ran my own business where I do video and film tranfers (BTTCS) and I plan to go into filmmaking as a career, and someday hope to become a professional!
