I work in the industry. I'm a professor of visual effects work and the proprietor of a Visual Effects studio. I've worked for video game and film studios. I don't consider myself a filmmaker, because I don't go out with dreams of making my own films. What I do is make other peoples films actually look good. I'll check out the site.
