Welcome to Filmrats; a multimedia evening of short films and live music, a hybrid of different creative artistry coming together to showcase their talents, enjoy music, film and to socialise.
We are looking for Filmmakers and Musicians, Amateur or Professional, Singer/Songwriters, Bands, Poets, Comedians and Performance Artists who would like to showcase their art to an appreciative audience. We accept all films and music videos and will play all submissions granted that the subject matter is not offensive.
The night is being held once a month on a Wednesday evening at the Bristol Pear, in the heart of Selly Oak, Birmingham. Click below for a map of location:
For Filmmakers, please send your short films on DVD format to the address below and email us any stills, posters, trailers and provide a brief synopsis and production credits.
For Musicians/Bands, please send us any recordings via the given address or alternatively send us a link to your myspace.
For Comedians and Performance Artists, get in contact via our myspace or email us any links to performances you may have done.

Hey there,
Here's one from left field...
Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

I had a great time. I think you have a wonderful night there and i would
definitely play again some time if you'd have me.
'Future shorts' is the name of that short film company i told you about. Google
it and you will find it easily enough.
Oh, and as far as recommendations for your night take a look at my
