General...was a great film starring Buster Keaton. And loosely based on an actual event during the Civil War.
Music...calms the savage beast. Or was it savage breast? Either way it's a good thing.
Moviesfill my days and nights, put food on the table and petrol in the SUV tank.
BooksIf you don't read you probably shouldn't be talking to me.
Heroesis a show I don't watch. I kinda like Hayden Panettiere though.

About me:

Does anyone use Myspace anymore? Go look me up on Facebook!

Those of you who think you know everything are annoying those of us that do

Yeah I work in movies. Nothing too glamorous though. I own & operate a private screening room in downtown Chicago and primarily what we do is preview new movies for film critics so they can write their reviews before the film opens. My clients are all the famous movie studios whose names you'd know and some you don't. Among those viewing upcoming releases at my facility is the most famous critic in the country.

I used to work in feature film post production but that's a story unto itself. Suffice to say I met a lot of interesting people. Even chatted with Madonna once.

I do indeed have tons of stories but by and large I don't think I ought to disseminate most of them to total strangers; sorry. (Stop being a stranger and I can tell you some.) As for deep personal sh*t....naaaaaah.

I have two degrees and neither has anything to do with film or communications so go figure. One of them is in computers so I should be Dilbert in a cubicle. But I have film in the blood so here I am.

Who I'd like to meet:
the slightly insane the somewhat immature the fairly directionless the unconventional the thinkers of impure thoughts the questioners of the status quo

I want to also use this space to give a plug to the fine folks at
The Silent Film Society of Chicago

It was actually kind of cool when it said "Steve has 0 Friends" but oh well, don't let that stop you.

Try getting 2 prints of Dragon Wars and NO prints of Mr Woodcock. Carmike you suck. I'd like to see ATU, but oh no, I have to get two prints of Dragon Wars....

I knew this box set was coming out before I bought the second one. I'll probably sell off my korean pilot episode, but I'm keeping the first set (cause the packaging is worth it). I may sell the second season box set but I haven't decided. Hell, if I found this on laserdisc, I'd buy it.

oh, and speaking of 'classic' movies, Flash Gordon is on DVD as of next week! The best worst movie of all time

I've never seen Tobor. Would be nice if that came out on DVD. However, I am now full force into my Monkee's season 1 box set!

yup, 'Robbie' with Serling. I have no idea why they switched his head like that. I swear I heard a story once where they found 'him' in a garbage about to be trashed. Someone recognized what it was and saved the body, but the head part wasn't salvageable, thus thats why he had the different head.

Of course, I could have just dreamed the story up haha. Sounds good either way!

Donna is referring to this photo.

It's an office building half a block from the screening room. The local Fox owned & operated TV station is in that building so I think that's some other Fox offices. But not the movie division as the branch office was closed several years ago and runs out of NY while publicity is handled by an agency.
