  • Bio

Broken Equipment Productions is probably the biggest name when it comes to hip hop parodies. Especially hip hop cartoon parodies. Given the title as the trendsetters of viral comedy video by XXL magazine, they managed to gain a lot of fans and of course imitators. But only the greats will be imitated and this is something that will live on with the Broken Equipment legacy. Founded by twin brothers Jared Kennedy (Twinn) and Jordan Kennedy (Fatt Kidd) after moving from New Orleans to get away from the damage done by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. One of the most impressive thing about the two besides the 100 million internet views they managed to attract is that they do the work themselves - Drawing, Voice acting, Producing and Writing! Broken Equipment has gotten the chance to work with and along side a lot of famous faces and industry legends. A new cartoon comedy movie produced by Broken Equipment will be hitting your television soon. Follow BEP on twitter, @FILNOBEP

Bio:

.. Twinn & Fatt Kidd, twin brothers born in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1989 were always known for being creative. Back before their fame they were known for being producers of a local New Orleans rap group and middle school friends with Lil Dee God’s gift at the age of 15. After a run in with the law, poverty and the damage done by Hurricane Katrina, they moved to Atlanta, Georgia and found a new way to gain exposure - the internet.
They began making beats while still in high school, managing to make a few album placements. At the same time, they were creating music from their home. Managing to grab the attention of a few big publications, they got to perform one of their songs live on TV. But still they couldn’t find any rapper or record label to pay them any attention, so they decided to take their attention. They began creating online cartoon videos poking fun of popular rappers like Lil Wayne, Cam’ron, Young Jeezy, The Clipse and known Marrero rapper, Baby Boy Da Prince , that lead to a split from them and their group back in New Orleans. Leaving them time to work on themselves, they used their cartoons to promote their producing and music, gaining them over 100 millions hits on their YouTube channel, http://www.youtube.com/filnobep, major magazine and online write ups before they turned 18 years old.
A few months later they established their brand name, Broken Equipment Productions, as a corporation with them as the head CEOs. Then rapper, Soulja Boy Tell Em , found them and asked Twinn & Fatt Kidd to work with them and they created a lot of material, some that made Soulja Boy’s mixtapes, and a big cartoon video during the Ice T vs Soulja Boy beef that made it to TMZ. After that, a lot of controversy came along on their name but did mean a lot of publicity for them, so they decided to introduce the world to their music side. After releasing a mixtape titled “Like Huah!” on DatPiff.com, they were a hit with cartoons, beats and songwriting after being the 1 mixtape on the site.
