The Filtered DJ Academy's intensive DJ course will cover everything you need to know, from beat mixing to scratching, on both vinyl and mp3 and include teaching in some of the latest technologies such as Soratto's Scratch Live. The Filtered DJ Academy is based at the Caedmon Complex just north of Bristol, UK, and is part of the Inspire Arts Trust; a national UK charity which inspires young people to realise their potential, be creative and live their dream. Filtered hopes to encourage and train up hundreds of potential DJs and producers, and release the next generation of artists into the music industry through its training.

The Inspire Arts Trust has been working for many years with young people who have become marginalized due to their social background. Students on Inspire courses are given a sense of self-worth through the discovery of untapped talent and the encouragement to use their new skills in the community. Already many young people have discovered a new purpose and are living their dream through Inspire.

The Filtered DJ Academy and Inspire enjoy creativity and are passionate about seeing young people express themselves through music and the arts. The trust aims to be all-inclusive especially targeting young people who are disadvantaged through poverty, disability, alcohol, drugs and crime.

All of our courses are based at Caedmon, a £3 million arts complex uniquely designed to stimulate creativity. It's uniqueness includes two state of the art Pro Tools recording studios, dance studio, DJ and artist rehearsal rooms, performance venue and new media design suite; a perfect place to train new artists.
