This is the official Filthy's at the Red Lion site! Based in Twickenham on Heath Road, we have kept the live music venue alive and well for more than 3 years now. For upcoming gigs, look below at our monthly calender. Also, to see the lovely mugs who work behind the bar, just click on our photos - or better yet, find their myspace profiles in our friends list.

The Candy Twins	Feb 7 2009 11:50 AM Hello Filthys (Twickenham) Our debut label EP Sad Glad Songs is out next week on Lostmusic Records - launched at our February 12th gig at Gramapahone, London E1 where we're appearing with The Gresham Flyers, Kelman and Hari and Aino. The entire EP is streaming on our Myspace - the first four songs. Then we're doing a few dates including: 14th Feb - FREE Valentine's gig, The Wight Rock Bar, Ryde, Isle of Wight 21st Feb - Cardigan Arms, Leeds 26th Feb - Grey Horse, Kingston And Rocker is playing our song Until The Daydream Dies this month on his show on the John Peel inspired internet station, Dandelion Radio. I, LUDICROUS	Jan 20 2009 6:37 PM I LUDICROUS are a three piece popular "post harmonic modernist" music ensemble formed in London in 1986 by John Procter & Will Hung. In 2008 the band recruited friend & "Voice of the Beehive" bass guitarist Brett Martini to the line up. Originally a homemade 4 track cassette somehow found its way into the hands of Mark E Smith who - without telling them - promptly booked them to support The Fall at a top London venue. The band achieved immortality the following year when their seminal release ’Preposterous Tales’ reached the dizzy heights of number 11 in John Peel’s Festive 50. In February of this year they released a marvellous 5 track EP; on that EP was a song called The Ruby Wax Song. Ruby Wax heard this song and made this exclamation on her blog: ’I can’t believe that my whole life has been summed up in a song!!’ Also on the CD are the truly brilliant "Argument In the Laundrette" & "Chav It Up Baby". Their best-of entitled ’20 Years In Show Business’ is out now on Sanctuary Recordings.The band are possibly the most "original" act in the UK.
