This download version also includes a special bonus song recorded for this exclusive occasion – a new setting of Ludwig van Beethoven's 'Moonlight Sonata, First Movement', including the poem "Sonnet VI (On The First Movement of Beethoven's 'Moonlight Sonata')", written by Count Eric Stenbock and recited by our dear friend Troy Southgate.
To download this release, which also includes a full printable CD-artwork, feel free to visit the download section of Sagittarius's official homepage at http://www. sagittarius. de.
ASMOROD - France (Snowblood, Steinklang Industries, Tesco Organisation) Dark Ritual Ambient Electronic
"The sounds drag you into the depth created by various different layers which together build up the music. Deep bass drones create a nice sublevel in which it is a pleasure to dwell."
For fans of Biosphere, Lustmord & Takashi Miike, this is a very rare UK outing, not to be missed.
NOHNO - UK (Out To Lunch, MUTE, Shadow Records, Sonic Groove)
Nohno is the most recent creative outpouring from Dean Dennis (ex Clock DVA, The Anti Group, Sector) a name associated with early Sheffield electronic and industrial music pioneers Clock DVA.
“This subtle, solitary album can really grab you. It opens with lulling, fragile musicbox notes and continues at the level of a faded recording, layered with background noise and ghostly voices that make it the aural equivalent of seeing orbs on old photographs. A charming but hesitant vintage piano performs in the foreground, but is gradually crowded with the noise of objects clanking and jingling together, as though spirits are trying to make themselves heard. In a really eye-widening moment, a very faint, eerie song is tuned in through the static, until it is subsumed by another oceanic storm of white noise. Put on your headphones to listen, or you might not pick up its signal and realize how strangely moving it is. ” - Gothic Beauty Magazine
Life Toward Twilight's score for Edison Studio's 1910 production of "Frankenstein".
In a time when moving pictures were considered new and vulgar compared to the respectable plays of the state Edison Studios undertook the challenge to commit the first moving picture version of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. The intent of this version, as stated in The Edison Kinetogram was, “to concentrate its endeavors upon the mystic and psychological problems,” of Shelley’s “weird tale.” This innovative film, believed to be the first American horror movie, was lost from memory until a series of serendipitous incidents led to the discovery of the lone surviving reel from the hands of a collector in the 1970’s.
This new score has been composed in homage to those early pioneers of cinema who have transformed this once “vulgar” medium to the art form it is today.
Available on a two disc set, one audio disc with the soundtrack, and one DVD with the film. Also available for download.
