Millstone Township, NJ’s most well known local band, Finale Hill, is a hard rock group with a strong classic rock sound and some modern day influences. Members range from 15 to 18 years old. The band features Jimi Maraday on lead vocals and guitar, Kevin Basko on lead guitar, Kane Maraday on bass and Mike DiGuglielmo on drums.
Finale Hill formed as a band in February of 2008 to compete in their Allentown High School Battle of the Bands. Since then, they have written and recorded enough original songs to produce a full CD. In addition to recording, Finale Hill performed at over 26 locations and events including Six Flags Great Adventure, a concert for the troops at McGuire Air Force Base, “Summerfest” in Brick (opening for The B-Street Band- a well known Bruce Springsteen tribute group), and the Jersey Shows 10th annual Battle of the Bands in which they competed for six months into the final round and achieved 5th place from a field of over 400 bands. Finale Hill also performs for private parties, community and charity events, and teen friendly venues.
During the past year and a half together, Finale Hill has developed a significantly large following, consisting of local, regional and with the help of their website, www.finalehill.com, even a national fan base.
Finale Hill’s music recalls the sounds of the “Gods of Rock” such as Led Zeppelin, Guns N’ Roses, Van Halen, Aerosmith, as well as some softer, blues style legends. The roots of their music possess a heavy classic rock feel, with a modern day “twist” to it influenced by some of today’s great bands such as Coheed and Cambria, Buckcherry, and The Parlor Mob. The band strives for a sound that has the ability to appeal to all ages; a sound that stands out amongst all other bands and artists today. They not only inspire the younger crowd, but serve to bridge the generation gap by satisfying the tastes of audiences both young and old.
Supported by their families and friends, Finale Hill’s plans for the future involve much more than just getting famous or “making it big”. These four musicians want to bring a whole new feel to today’s music scene. It is their dream to entertain and bring joy to people around the world with their updated version of Rock n’ Roll. They’re motivation and desire to perform is immeasurable and the four teenagers have promised to continue working hard in order to travel down this path that they have chosen in their lives.
