MUSIC, Arashi, reading, drawing, singing, video games, etc.
Music
I listen to a lot of random stuff, mostly Japanese pop, and some American bands. My favorite group at the moment is Arashi. Some others I like are Morning Musume, Berryz Koubou, C-ute, Buono!, most other H!P groups, KAT-TUN, News, and Tackey & Tsubasa. As for American music, my favorite bands are Fall Out Boy, Cobra Starship, Panic! at the Disco, The Young Veins, The Academy Is..., My Chemical Romance, The Used, The Cab, and The Hush Sound. Probably some others too.
Movies
Anything with a good plot. I like action, I like comedy, I like romance - anything except horror really, that's just not my thing. My recent favorites are three movies that Arashi starred in (have I mentioned I'm obsessed?): Pikanchi Life is Hard Dakedo (but) Happy, Pikanchi Double Life is Hard Dakara (thus) Happy, and Kiiroi Namida. The first two are somewhat cheesy but touching, and tell the story of five friends (played by Arashi). Kiiroi Namida...it's hard to explain the plot, but it's actually a really good movie, Arashi or no. I also really want to see the movie Letters From Iwo Jima, because Nino of Arashi was in it and I heard he was quite good. The new Harry Potter movie may or may not end up on this list when I eventually see it - I usually don't like the movies much, but maybe they'll not ruin this one.
Television
I pretty much only watch Comedy Central - Comedy Central Presents, The Colbert Report, The Daily Show, South Park, that kind of stuff. I do watch a lot of Japanese variety shows and dramas though. My favorite variety shows are (I'm sure you can guess, they're all hosted by Arashi) Arashi no Shukudai-kun, Himitsu no Arashi-chan, VS Arashi, G no Arashi, and D no Arashi (only the first three are currently still airing). I've only managed to actually get through three dramas so far, but they were all fantastic: Maou, Uta no Onii-san, and Yamada Tarou Monogatari. I really want to see Ryusei no Kizuna, Hana Yori Dango, Gokusen, and The Quiz Show II.
Books
I read a lot, don't really feel like listing everything here. A few of my favorites are Harry Potter, The Chosen, To Kill A Mockingbird, The Catcher in the Rye and the Pure Dead series.
Heroes
my family, my friends, and all of the amazing bands out there who have been through shit and still manage to be strong and make music for us, because those people and the music they make are the things that keep me going
R.I.P. Casey Calvert and John "Beatz" Holohan
MJ too - I may not have been a fan, but it was sad to see him go
Also, the most important one...R.I.P. Daddy...I love you so much. I wish you were here with us, but I hope you're in a better place at least. <3
About me: I was going to just edit this, but it's so out of date I'll just re-do it. My name is Sarah, and I'm 16. I'm from Maryland (Baltimore <3) but as of July 11th I live in North Carolina. I don't hate it, but I definitely prefer Maryland.
Some facts about me:
I'm a vegetarian (sort of, I recently started eating fish)
My favorite color is blue
Music is my life
My favorite band is the j-pop group Arashi <3
I'm a little bit obsessed with Japanese music/anime/culture in general
My favorite websites are Gaia Online, Live Journal, Wikipedia, Hello! Online, and YouTube
I have a dog named Momo <3
I am ridiculously afraid of bugs...yes I know it's stupid, no I do not care
I love to read
I also love to play video games, especially RPGs
I love singing, even if I'm not very good
I am extremely shy, but I like to meet new people
And...that's about all I can think of right now
Who I'd like to meet: The five members of Arashi: Ohno Satoshi, Sakurai Sho, Aiba Masaki, Ninomiya Kazunari, and Matsumoto Jun. I'd like to meet Akanishi Jin of KAT-TUN once too, if only to get him to speak to me in adorable english. Some others: Ogura Tomoaki (I hope that's the correct first name anyway lol), Haruna Ai, Niigaki Risa, Michishige Sayumi, LinLin, Becky, Ikuta Toma, Degawa Tetsuro, Takizawa Hideaki, Imai Tsubasa, Yaguchi Mari, and DAIGO, among others. Yes, they are all Japanese actors/entertainers/musicians, and they are awesome. Especially Arashi and Ikuta Toma <3
