FINA TAWA means CULTURAL ROUTE in "foulfouldé", the language of Fulanis
Fina-Tawa is a non-profit association, based in Ajaccio-Corsica since 2004.
It aims at the realization of projects of sustainable development in some villages of Burkina Faso.
Its priority is to work in the most underprivileged rural zones of Burkina Faso, to make it possible for the villagers to reach a better standard of living in the respect of their cultural identity.
It defends the will of indigenous people to decide on their own future and assist them to guarantee their basic rights.
Through the creation of local associations and collaboration with already existing organizations, the needs, the quality standards and the objectives are defined in a joint way with the local population, thus the ancestral habits of work organization in group are entirely respected. Fina-Tawa intervenes on these topics to sensitize the Western public opinion with the daily concerns of the burkinabe villagers, and thus makes it possible for volunteers to take part in the various actions organized by the association.
When Fina-Tawa built the first well in 2005 in Warzame, a small fulani village, villagers came from all around asking the association to come in their communities to do the same.
After many discussions with our local correspondents and the council of the village (chiefs and village elders), the first need which the villagers would like to have is access to drinking water and education.
Unfortunately the funds of Fina-Tawa are limited so we are in need of financial assistance to continue our projects.
We are looking for companies and people who will sponsor a well or a cultural-alphabetization center in a village in Burkina Faso.

FINA TAWA signifie PARCOURS CULTUREL en "foulfouldé", la langue des Peuls
Déclarée à la préfecture d' Ajaccio depuis le 26 Mars 2004, l'association Fina - Tawa, (n° 02A1012887), est une association loi 1901 sans but lucratif; elle a pour objectif la réalisation de projets de développement durable dans des villages au Burkina Faso.
L'association agit en priorité dans les zones rurales les plus défavorisées du Burkina, pour permettre aux villageois d'atteindre un meilleur niveau de vie dans le respect de leur identité culturelle. Elle assurera la pérennité des projets réalisés par un suivi rigoureux.
Militante des droits universels de l'homme, elle défend la volonté des peuples indigènes à décider de leur propre avenir et les aide à garantir leurs droits fondamentaux.
A travers la création d'associations locales et la collaboration avec des organisations déjà existantes, les besoins, les critères de qualité et les objectifs sont définis de manière conjointe avec la population locale, ainsi les coutumes ancestrales d'organisation du travail en groupe sont entièrement respectées.
Fina Tawa intervient sur ces thèmes pour sensibiliser l'opinion publique occidentale aux problèmes quotidiens des villageois burkinabès, et permet ainsi à des bénévoles de participer aux différentes actions qu'organise l'association.
Quand Fina-Tawa a construit le premier forage en 2005 à Warzame, un petit village peul, de nombreux paysans sont venus des villages alentours inviter l'association à venir dans leurs communautés afin de constater leur situation et les aider à construire des puits et des écoles. Après de nombreux entretiens avec nos correspondants locaux et le conseil du village (composé des chefs et des anciens), les premiers besoins auxquels les paysans aspirent, tout village confondu, sont l'accès à l'eau potable et à l'éducation. Malheureusement les moyens financiers de Fina-Tawa sont limités, nous avons donc besoin de soutien pour continuer nos projets. Nous recherchons des entreprises-organisations-associations-artistes qui aimeraient sponsoriser un puits ou un centre culturel-d'alphabetisation dans un village au Burkina Faso.
