FINE$$, born and raised Alicia Watson in Hampton, Virginia, is a female rapper best known for the song, "I’m So Fly". FINE$$ is one of Nashville’s up and coming influential artist that is making power moves in Tennessee since her start in 2007. FINE$$ discovered her talent in 2003 when she made a theme song for her college basketball team. That blossomed into more and more songs until she finally released her first project in 2008 entitled “Got FINE$$?”. She earned her “street-cred” by growing up in Hampton Roads and spent much time with family in an area known as "Bad News," which refers to the city of Newport News. The road to success has been substantial with the ability to connect, work and perform in many venues nationwide including Memorial Auditorium in Chattanooga, TN where she opened for well known recording artist Plies, Club Crucial in Atlanta, GA and The Clement Auditorium in Clarksville, TN to name a few. FINE$$ has also performed in the legendary BB King’s club located in downtown Nashville.

FINE$$ is the embodiment of hard work. The “grind before you shine” way of approaching the rap game is exactly how FINE$$ plans to progress in this industry. She was able to persevere and successfully graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts with a concentration in Broadcast Media in 2007. This 80’s baby’s lyrical mastermind has a way of helping to overcome an industry filled with competition where survival is in large part based upon how well you can hold your own. FINE$$ has been doing just that every time she steps foot in a studio. This has proven to be effective with her recent nomination for the Southern Entertainment Awards “Best Freestyle On A Mixtape” category for the 2009 awards. She received the nomination after releasing “Got FINE$$?” which speaks to the level of her skills. “Got FINE$$?” was recorded in 2007 and was released in the beginning of 2008 which quickly helped to gain fans for the local artist. She also received national airplay on XM radio’s Shine 66 Raw with her single “Lac Ridin” which fans called in and raved about on the station.

Sharp wordplay and catchy metaphors are her technique of choice, but FINE$$ possesses a sense of wisdom and a voice of understanding for those going through the same struggles and successes. She is gaining exposure, confidence, and contacts daily. Her myspace page offers fans worldwide a place to connect with the artist and also hear her newest music. FINE$$ acknowledges she has a long way to go to achieve her dreams, but she is definitely headed in the right direction!
