It sounds like a whole lot of different stuff. Not one of our band has stuck to just one type of music that we listened to. I don't know anyone who has only ever liked just one type of music. Why would we then go and form a band, who's sole purpose is to express feeling and enjoyment for our peers, that plays just one type of music? I can't think of a reason either. I'm not trying to down bands who do that either. I think it's amazing if a band can stick to one type and maintain excitement and keep people wanting the next song. Most of us have an attention deficit though. I feel like our eclectic mix of music also shows our diversity and skill. Have you ever got sick of hearing the same chorus, riff sequence, drum break, back up styles, rythmic value, vocal style, etc.? Yeah. Lame huh? Musical freedom has been on the market for a great number of years now and FING feels as though we should take advantage of that. There are so many of you that we would like to connect with.... even if only for one song. We now have a better chance because of where we are and are heading. Love it all.
FING is comprised of five members. Their sound touches everything from electronic disco and funk cuts to surfed out blackmetal and folk jolts. FING was formed out of what was a couple of talented musicians pigeonholing themselves into a path that they had already tried to take in other projects. There was a lucky and early break in that monotony that led them to a new drum with a groove like a canyon. FING has great conciousness of what people enjoy about music and the performance of it, which shows through the music they write. FING appreciates shock value, humor, dancing, and fun over all. Have fun!
After sweating it out playing Mexicali last month, we have triumphantly returned to San Diego and are playing a show Thursday, October 2nd 2008 at Canes Bar and Grill. WE'D LOVE FOR YOU TO COME:
Doors open at 7:45PM, The Moviegoers go on at 8:10PM SHARP.
21+ don't forget your ID, tix $6 at the door, email us back, or meet up with one of us to buy a pre-sale ticket at a special price.
Alright...Now that we're friends and shit I just gotta say, 'WHOLE HOG's got yer back.' When someone at the store says, 'Nah, you go ahead of me'...it was probably due to this friendship. If a San Diego promoter calls you up and says ‘Hey I’d really love to have you guys play the 10:30 slot on Saturday night, but I can only give ya 500 bucks and an unlimited bartab… and as for your draw don’t worry about it. I fliered all week and called every friend I know to come see the show.’ yep, probably due to this friendship also. basically expect good shit to happen to you from here on out. WHOLE HOG friendship has it's benefits.
