The Fingermonsters consist of Andrew Phelan, Cubik, George Cochrane and Shawn Allen, four friends working together out of San Francisco's famed Moulton Studios complex. Between their various solo careers and collaborations, these four have had album and EPs out on labels such as Amenti, Body Rhythm, Dinner Party, Drop Music, Eight-Tracks, Prismatic, So Sound and Wide Hive. Together as The Fingermonsters, the four produce a unique mix of big room tech house, breaks, techno, and electro. Their live PA is a site to behold, with all four members freaking out together onstage on a variety of synths, drum machines, laptops, and general insanity. Which is good, because I wanted to stop by to tell you how aMAAAAAZing your guys' set was last Saturday. I was busy getting people drunk so I actually wasn't even sure when your set started. All I knew is that all of the sudden I was getting the fuck down and thinking how dope the music magically got. Then this super cool track came on and I freaked out 'cause it was soooo massively delish and I was thinking, "God damn this is good. How do I know this track?" and then it clicked that it was one that George and Andrew made and that der, you guys were playing so then I freaked out even more. Wh00t!
With dirty funk like that, good things are sure to come. Congrats. :D
