Saxophonist and Composer, with best mark for 2 degree in Classical Saxophone, and Jazz Music, studied jazz also at the Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium of Copenhagen, Denmark. He is very active in the Jazz scene, playing, composing and leading international projects like "Sinestetic Jazz".

MAURO PATRICELLI - Piano
Pianist and Composer, after a degree in classical piano, studied jazz at the Bologna Conservatory, Italy. He wrote music for piano solo and different kind of ensembles involving jazz musicians. Since 2000, he published eight CDs internationally distributed. He lives in Denmark.
Bardaro/Patricelli Finis Duo
FINISDUO, by the saxophonist Gianni Bardaro and the pianist Mauro Patricelli, is an example of the blending of the elements of classical and jazz music. The performance is more than just the juxtaposition of two kinds of music. It requires the performers to embellish the written music as well as improvise at given sections, much in the spirit of jazz and in the true tradition of Baroque music in such a manner that the listener is often unsure where the written music stops and the improvisations take over.
Together with works written by Gianni Bardaro and Mauro Patricelli themselves, Finisduo will perform the revised and newly engraved ‘97 edition of the Alto Sax and Piano Sonata, a "classic" cross-over work by the jazz-legend Phil Woods.
The Bardaro – Patricelli Finis Duo is based in Copenhagen, where the two musicians met and merged their common cultural roots with their international experience.

Il Progetto
FINISDUO, del sassofonista Gianni Bardaro e del pianista Mauro Patricelli, è un esempio di fusione di musica classica con elementi jazz. Il progetto non si basa sulla semplice giustapposizione di due generi musicali, ma richiede ai musicisti sia di interpretare la musica scritta che di improvvisare in determinate sezioni, nello spirito del jazz o della musica barocca, cosicché l’ascoltatore non sia sempre consapevole di dove la musica scritta cede il passo all’improvvisazione.
Oltre a brani originali, composti da Bardaro e Patricelli, Finisduo interpreterà la più aggiornata versione della Sonata per sassofono contralto e pianoforte di Phil Woods, un classico della musica cross-over composta da un leggendario protagonista della storia del jazz.
Finisduo è nato a Copenaghen dove i due musicisti si sono incontrati unendo comuni radici culturali ad una esperienza artistica internazionale. Il CD di debutto, che include la Sonata di Phil Woods, sarà distribuito dall’etichetta danese Gateway.
