Playing At Life and Every Angry Wordwere recorded live atExeter College of Art on 21st February 1983
With a 20-minute set, a self-made video (very much a novelty in those days) and a handful of mismatched songs Finish The Story hit the Phoenix Club stage
in Malvern for its one-off gig. Nicola, usually very quiet in rehearsals,
suddenly came to life, found a voice and put in quite a performance. In the
audience was freelance journalist Mick Mercer who was there to review
the Dancing Did for Record Mirror, he also mentioned Finish
The Story. A review of the same gig appeared in Zig Zag written by
Sara Jones who said,'Finish
The Story's debut gig was better than the second coming of Jesus Christ'.......With
only a few gigs under their belt they supported The Cure at Hammersmith
Odeon. Read

THE RETURN OF THE BAT
Specimen will bring their special brand of glam mayhem, The Batcave to London again.
After last year’s wildly-successful 25th anniversary Batcave event, The Batcave returns to its original spawning ground of London’s West End on Sunday July 19 for another night of blasphemy, lechery and blood.
Specimen (Fresh from a fantastic show at Leipzig’s Waves Gotik festival), the original Batcave instigators will headline the lurid frolics at the Embassy Club, (29 Old Burlington St, London W1S3AP) Also on the bill are original Batcavers Sexbeat, with DJs Hamish and Cavey Nick, cavorting from decks to decadence with the usual brutal, trouser-dropping surprises & suitably confronting & barbaric entertainment.
The 2009 Batcave will feature installations from exciting new artists of the ‘Dark London Underground’ and visuals from the upcoming ‘Welcome To The Batcave’ book, along with this year’s bitcrushed message from the creature in the Batcave Pram. All set in a spooky Bladerunner environment!
So dress to kill … prepare for a thrill & Expect the unexpected!
The Batcave will be open from 10pm till 3am. Tickets £15 available from www.ticketweb.co.uk and Resurrection Records.

Miss it at your peril!
Bristol Archive Records is a record label dealing in Bristol post punk 1977 onwards. We aim to showcase music from the diverse Bristol Music scene and provide a historical account / document of all things Bristol that should never be forgotten. Many of the artists and releases are rare, unknown or never before released. The material has been lovingly digitally remastered from vinyl, ¼ inch tape, dat or cassette. The original vinyl releases would generally have been limited to runs of 1000 copies or less.
We would like to thank the original label owners and/or the artists for allowing us to share with you their forgotten works and provide a statement of how brilliant bands have always been from the city of Bristol and the surrounding areas.
Enjoy and never forget the talented ones from the past, they deserve to be recognised & remembered.
