FIREBALL HEATS UP THE EUROPEAN
CHARTS
Laventille-born entertainer Rohan
Richards, aka Fireball, is currently
sitting atop the European Club
Music Charts following last
month's release in France of a
reworked version of his 2007
carnival hit, What I Want. The
song is signed to legendary
House music DJ Bob Sinclair's
Yellow Productions music label,
and is being marketed in Europe
as 'Bob Sinclair presents Fireball'.
The remixed version features an
opening rap by Jamaican
dancehall artist Fahrenheit, best
known as Sean Paul's hype man
(i.e. his backing singer).
Sinclair adds a House bassline to
the remixed version of the song,
which was originally produced by
Daniel Simpson for Richard 'Char
Su' Ahong's Da Crib record label.
"It is a good feeling to climb the
charts and to get recognition. The
journey now start, and I not
getting too glad. 50 Cent and Ne-
Yo and dem fellas have plenty
number one hits. This is only my
first so I still have a lot of work to
do," explained an extremely laid
back Fireball.
