Jesus Christ ****In Loving Memory of Coty and Chase Baker****
Hello, most of you know that my great nephews, Coty and Chase, were found dead inside a car trunk Saturday night. The pain hurts so bad. Their mother, Hannah, needs your prayers right now. As much as I hurt, I wouldn't even want to know what she's going through right now. Please pray for our family, and especially pray for Hannah, she needs all the strength that she possibly can get from heaven. It's going to be a rough time ahead for all of us!!!
Just to let you know a little about the boys', in their memory;
Coty was a red headed little boy that loved to play video games, and computers. He was mischevious like most little boys but he loved both of his little brothers so much. Just a few weeks ago, our church held a youth music festival in London, during the kick-off, Coty chose Jesus Christ to be his saviour. I'll never forget, when my wife, myself and my sister-in-law took him home and stopped to eat, he smiled so much that night that it looked like he had a perpetual grin frozen to his face. He even said "this is the best day of my life", so enthusiastically, that I couldn't help but have a lump in my throat, it was such a beautiful time. I'll always cherish that day.
Chase, what couldn't I say about Chase. He was so ACTIVE!!! He loved life so much, he loved to pester and wrestle, but that child had a heart of gold, never did he leave from my presence or most anyone's without giving us a big bear hug and truly beleivable "I love you."
There's so much I could say about these two boys and yes, I still remember some of the things that they would do that would bother me, just like my own daughter does, but some of those exact things were the things that gave them each their very own identities, but more than that I remember all the good times. So young, too fast were they gone. I will miss them, but what keeps me and most of my family going is this, one day when my life is over, when Jesus takes my hand, Coty and Chase will be right there saying "what took you so long, this place is great. Nobody tells us no, that we can't do this or that because whatever it is that we do we don't get hurt. Come on I want you to meet so many people," and Chase, and Coty, as well, will give me a bear hug and say we love you.
People, if you have anyone in your family that you love take the time with them, you never know when you will hear the last "I love you" come from their mouths. Don't take life for granted, every day we should wake up with a thankful heart just to be able to say, "well, thank you Jesus, I woke up again." Tell all of the children in your lives, whether they be your own, or a neice, nephew or whoever they might be, that you love them and let them know it by spoiling them just a little bit, it never hurt to let them have one extra cookie or let them out of one night of cleaning there rooms.
I have one daughter, and if one thing that has come out of this horrible tradgedy for my own sake is this, I have loved her more yesterday and today than I have ever loved her before and I cannot quit telling her how much I love her. Not that I didn't love her like I should before, but, I guess the correct word should have been cherish.
For all of you who have lost loved ones in a tragic way I can assuredly say that until Saturday, I had no way of knowing what it feels like, but unfortunately today I now know.
Please continue praying for our family. God has never let us down and I know he will continue being our solid rock. Thank you all so very much and if I haven't said so in a while or ever before, then today know that I love you so very much!!! God bless you all!!!
