Every January our club host a Public Safety Ice Hockey Tournament. We started out small with 8 teams and have grown to over 30. Next years event will be held in January 11th-14th 2010. The entry fee is $900.00. for more information feel free to visit our site.
Orlando Firefighters Hockey Club..
The Orlando Firefighters Hockey Team traveled South to West Palm Beach to bring back what they dearly missed, the GOLD Medal from the Florida Firefighters Olympics. Although once again we did it the hard way an were able to bring back the hardware. So once again, OFD Hockey has bragging rights in Florida for 1 more year. Hopefully we can find a way to defend the medal. Below are some pic's of the GOLD medal game against Ft. Lauderdale Fire.

The Orlando Firefighters beat the Central Florida Enforcers 4-3 in a overtime shootout. It was a great game, held on St. Patty's Day March 27th 2007. And we would like to "THANK" everyone who came out to watch. Both teams raised over $2000.00 for the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation

Although our players hold all firefighters at a high regard. Our Club is dedicated to our charities; The Muscular Dystrophy Association and Cerebral Palsy Foundation of Central Florida Both charities we hold very specail to our hearts. With MDA it has been the Firemens charity helping Jerry's kids for over 50 years and for CP it hits real close to our hearts with one of our players child diagnosed with it.
We donate proceeds from our many charity events and fund raisers we host annually Our team members have volunteered countless hours and donated almost $75,000 to date.
Our Club is always looking for sponsors to help off set the cost of; Charity Tournaments, Practice Ice Time and League Fees. If you or your business would like to donate to our club. The Orlando Firefighters Hockey Club is made up of full-time paid professional firefighter from many different Fire Departments in the Central Florida area.
The team was created in 1997 and currently is playing in the "B" league at the RDV Sportsplex.
The level of the players range from Solid "A" to Novice. our club is always looking for fellow firefighters in the area to join the Club
Who I'd like to meet: The Team is always looking to play other firefighter teams, we are willing to travel but will also like to host any team willing to visit the Orlando area.
We have hosted teams from all over Florida, along with teams from Atlanta and New York

Here is a slide of our team playing a a benefit tournament for Orange County Florida Deputy Adam Pierce. Adam was shot and paralyzed from the waist down. While protecting our citizens.

The Team would like to "Congratulate" Chuck Weber and the Cincinnati Cyclones on winning the Kelly Cup as many know Chuck coached our team for many years while he assisted the Orlando Solar Bears. Chuck is a great person and we hope to see him coaching in the NHL someday. "Good Luck" Chuck!!
