About me:
Have you ever wanted to demonstrate your "art" but didn't feel like you had the venue, the money, the support, or the audience? Perhaps thought it was just too weird or off the cuff?
The "Fire Flies: The Art of the Possible" festival was created by a group of local radical DIY artist, writers and musicians in Greensboro who wanted to create a different kind of festival- where YOU put on the event of your dreams and we will do everything we can to make it happen. The festival's goal is to support, publicize, book your event and fill in the gaps that help you bring your dream to life.
In addition, we hope to create many long term collaborations between artists in Greensboro and beyond. Do you need someone to compose music for the film your making? Want to find another artist who welds old car bodies or creates electronic noise music? This is a great way to meet others who are into what you do.
The first ever Fire Flies Festival was held from July 4th to July 10th, 2005 in downtown Greensboro, North Carolina. During the week, dozens of events were held in venues expected and unexpected in and around downtown Greensboro.
This year, the festival will kick off July 3rd and continue until July 9th. Many events have already been booked. Please contact us to schedule or plan your event, or to help organize the festival. Or to just meet us. We'd like to meet you.

An Invitation To All Artists and Creators, Buskers and Dancers, Waiters, Watchers, Musicians and the Like (and the Un-Like!)...
Have you ever dreamed of stretching the limits of your art but didn't know when or where to start? Have you ever imagined sharing your creativity in completely new and unconventional ways? Have you ever looked at your house, your yard, your workplace, your rooftop, your neighborhood and wondered what would happen if all your expectations were turned inside out? Have you ever longed to wake up on a beautiful summer morning and know that anything was possible?
We are seeking artists and creative persons of all stripes to participate in a very different kind of festival celebrating art, culture and possibility in Greensboro. The second Fire Flies festival runs from July 3 to July 9 in venues expected and unexpected throughout the city.
