About me: There are honestly fewer better feelings in this world than that "music high". You know, like when you just get back from a rockin’ show or hear an amazing song for the first time. It just gives me this physical rush inside. It’s like the music just fills me up until I just want to bust.
A really good song is one that can take you places. You can even hear it years later and it still transports you back to a particular place, where you feel all those emotions all over again. You are back in this one moment in time, just like it was yesterday, or an hour ago, or simply seconds. A really good song can also evolve in its meaning in your life. One day you can wake up and its message has simply changed, and morphed into this whole other feeling. A good song can bring tears to your eyes as you listen to it in a massive crowd of people who are surrounding you trying to distract you from what you hear. A good song can make you want to scream the lyrics at the top of your lungs because it echoes everything that is inside of your heart and you just simply have to get it out, but you can’t find the words on your own.
A good musician can take you into his soul with his words and the sound of his voice. You can look at his face and feel every emotion as he sings his heart's words to you. He takes you on a journey, makes you feel a part of the story. It feels as if you are sitting alone with him on stage and he is singing to only you.
It’s just all of this wrapped into one big emotion. An emotion, a feeling, that you can’t describe. You either get it or you don’t. And it is an amazing feeling. One that I will and have traveled many miles to replicate. One that I paid dollar after dollar to feel again. It’s a high….and "I’m like a junkie to a rush", I’m off to find it again and again.

Hi Annie! I saw Brad at the Evening Muse on Saturday night and I was hoping you were there also. I missed seeing you! I heard from Brittany last week and have been going down Dexter memory lane. LOL. Hope I'll get to see you sometime soon!
Ugh, it was NOT fun! But the pain is much more manageable than I thought it would be-the biggest annoyance is actually getting ready in the mornings for work-I'm on crutches for 2 weeks and can't get my foot wet for a month!
I hear ya! Furniture can be expensive, but in the end we both know it will be worth the wait. Anything else going on? Do you have time and/or a budget for a vacation?
Hi Annie! Thanks for the photo comment you left me recently. Hope y'all are doing well. Tell Brad Happy Birthday for me! Hope to see y'all sometime soon too. We might try to catch the next Needtobreathe show in Charlotte depending on work. I haven't been to Amos since the big renovation - shocking, I know! LOL. Take care!
I'm so glad you guys come out to see Gareth last night. Sorry we didn't have a chance to chat more! Let's get together one weekend soon for a "catch up" lunch. :)
Staying busy with family, cars and dogs. How's the new place coming? I can't wait to see pictures! I know how you and your mom decorate so I am anxious to see what you've done with the place.
Thanks for my blog lovin'! Now. Did you happen to catch my drift of who's moving home come fall? ;-) We should celebrate with a pitcher of music and some good beer. Or, the other way around.
I just saw Avett Brothers on your friend list...Hans was trying to go to that show on New Year's Eve. We'll have to keep you and Brad in mind next time around. I hope you had a great Fourth! I just updated the family blog, it's good reading now if you haven't been by for a while. Later!
I don't know why, but I think there is something keeping me from that show...but for the life of me I can't think of it, which makes me think...Maybe......xxoo
Hey, are we going to see you guys in Atlanta next week end for Oakhurst and Gaelic Storm? I can't make Sam Thacker on Friday night cause Gail and I will be with Pat McGee and Sister Hazel at Wolf Trap...but some of my family I think is making the trip!!!
LOL...I looked at some pics of the youth group from Jekyll Island not too long ago...Yes...way 80's hair...that's so funny..what fun times...I'm just glad I found a new hair stylist..LOL...How is your mom doing??
