The Firehouse Art Center (FAC) asserts a leadership role in enriching the lives of Norman and the surrounding communities by offering quality visual arts education, exhibitions, and experiences. The FAC was founded in 1971 by three local artists who hoped to foster the appreciation, enjoyment, and practice of art. Today, the FAC is recognized statewide for its high quality arts education and exhibition programs. The non-profit art center is a communty arts center with an exhibition gallery and a gallery gift shop as well as the largest of the state's regional art centers devoted exclusively to visual art through studio classes, workshops, special programs, and exhibitions. The Firehouse Art Center is partially funded by The Oklahoma Arts Council, The City of Norman, The Norman Arts Council, Sarkeys Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma loves you! Your support helps us feed hungry bellies every day. In 2008 alone, the Food Bank distributed 25 million pounds of food, enough to feed 63,600 Oklahomans every week! With any luck, hip kids/folks (depending on their age) like you who donate, volunteer and hold food drives will help us grow in the years to come, and feed more hungry bellies. Go to www. regionalfoodbank. org, or message me to learn more about how you can help.
