The Fireland Ablaze is creation and recreation. It's an outlet and a nightlight. It's a yin and yang. It's things that go 'bump' and 'click'. It's the quiet seconds before the sunset dies, when you know that there's more to life than lost car keys and the broken TV.

We are very proud to announce, that Monocular s "Water Shape EP" is available at your favorite Online-Store now.
Containing the single "Water Shape" from the forthcoming album "Somewhere On The Line" (April 03, 2009 VierSieben Records/Alive) and three non-album tracks ("Consequence", "To Admire The Life", "Ravenclaw"), it is definitely a must have for all fans of filigree and athmospheric electrosounds.
Where bands like Lamb or Frou Frou left a gap in the late 90s and early 21st century, Monocular redefined the sound and set new standards in developing their complex music by connecting charismatic vocals with entrancing soundscapes.
Check it out! I wrote a free book on music production! It's for total beginners, but maybe you'll learn something... at least you can send it to your friends who always want to ask you a billion questions about music production! It's totally free too; my goal with this is to accumulate as many BFF's as possible :P
i totally forgot that you covered "ordinary" , i totally forgot about that song altogether actually. man i was different then, i guess we all were. anyway, you guys made it better.
So I'm at work on a Sunday trying to avoid working. We have satellite TV in the editing room so I channel surf and come across Solaris on the Independent Film Channel.
I grabbed my ipod to try and sync your cd to the film. I think I was off by a few seconds but still enjoyable nonetheless.
Anyway, just want to say thanks for making a kickass soundtrack.
Hey Friends! All of a sudden you were gone. We miss you and Hannah too! I hope you both are doing well and we expect to hear the pitter patter of little feet from you guys! Love, Gianna, Hannah and Gato
thanks guys! that was the first time it was ever played. it's gotten a bit better since.
hey, i have a serious question. what do i name it? i sort of don't want to name it after a lyric but i can't come up with anything except lyric snippets.
here's some:
"hallelujah (lay it on me)"
(i can't tell if that's too serious or too whimsical. maybe that's why its just right, because i can't distinguish).
"someone for me"
(this one is a little too sweet. too sentimental. maybe a little narrow seeing as the song isn't JUST serious but...(ahem)...fun).
"last song"
(as in Nichole's last. might be too limited as the focal point moves beyond just she and i, beyond just she and Joe and beyond even just me and my wife to: me, my wife and God. maybe a little too obvious, too "to the point", too grandiose. but, it might work in another way seeing as it will probably literally be the last song on the record).
then again, i could always just leave it as "untitled" but that's really unfulfilling as it's my first epic type song.
