About me:

Myspace Layouts byLayout Pimper

Well, where to start. My name is Bubba B. Bubba. Well it’s not my real name. Some people, like my girlfriend, Tiffany, my sisters, and my mom and dad still call me Jeff. I got the nickname Bubba back in early 1990 on one of my first ambulance rides when I was a member at Bladensburg. And it stuck. To be honest, a lot of people don’t know my real name, which is funny when someone calls me at the firehouse and they say “Sorry, There is no one here by that name”. What was funny was when my parents had to call the station and ask for Bubba! Funny.

Well Bubba is more than a name, some of my friends, claim that its part of some alter ego (or maybe its BiPolar). Sara first made the discovery of the distinction between Jeff and Bubba, “Jeff he’s cool, Bubba he’s an ass”. “Well not really, you just have to get to know him”. Well I may be an ass. But hey that’s me. I am VERY sarcastic. Be warned. Most people don’t “get” me. Or as the guys at Riverdale use to say SMALL DOSES! You see, I was funn but not all the fucking time. Too much of me can be well.. let's just say fun. I love the show Dexter and the Silence of the Lambs, Red Dragon. What is it about serial killers? They are pretty interesting. But don't worry about the plastic wrap and bleach in the back of my truck. They aren't really there! ;)

I grew up watching Emergency! I idolized my uncle Al at a very young age. He was a chief as long as I can remember. He use to take me up to the firehouse so I go over the ambulance, wagon and truck. I even had my own section of 3” hose that I use to play with and practice rolling and advancing. Man I was such a squirrel! I joined the fire department back in 1989, first working Vegas Nights at Bladensburg, and then I began riding fire trucks. I was bit by the bug, and that was that. I quit Vegas and focused all my time into riding firetrucks. I became a 24/7 volunteer, aside from my time working at Silver Spring Ambulance and Huntemann’s. Ah those were the good days. Jeff & Jeff Productions! And the few years I spent as a bouncer at the 'Vous and Terrapin Station. After a short time at Bladensburg and an interesting night that involved a tape deck and a portable radio, I joined Riverdale. Well after a little suspension from P.G. County, some community service, oh yeah and some probation. I got the t-shirt, the newspaper clippings and the news footage to prove it :)

I have been a Troll since March of 1993. Although, I had a little hiatus and went to find myself (in other words, I got married, disappeared for a while, and then got divorced), I remained a member and eventually became a Life Member. Once I get myself, and all my shit together, I will be riding and driving again. In the mean time, I spend time at the firehouse working out, busting balls and trying to help teach the younger guys and just having fun with my family.

I am very easy going. I enjoy fishing (mostly surf fishing), spending time with friends. I work at the University of Maryland, where I am the Drug Tester (or Pee Collector for the lay person). I am probably the most hated man on the University of MD campus, well maybe hated by the athletes. I also do drug and alcohol counseling as well as Teach the DWI Classes! I know what you are thinking me a DWI class facilitator, but hey it's a job. With almost 10 years in with the university/state, I’m pretty happy doing what I’m doing. It’s a pretty cool gig. On my time off, or on a sick day, I can be found fishing on the beach or one of the piers in or near Ocean City, MD, Dewey Beach or Assateague Island. I love my truck. I drink way to much alcohol, according to my doctors, pfft like they know what is good for me. I love to watch movies. I watch way too much tv. I enjoy learning. I try know a little about just about everything. I am more into science and nature and I wish I could get into books more. I have a really cool girlfriend who is pretty fucking awesome. I spend too much money on my nephews and nieces; well I don’t have kids of my own. I really want another dog. I miss Casey. I learned that people you know are either acquaintances or friends. An acquaintance will acknowledge your presence and maybe flash a fake smile, but a friend will do anything for you. I cherish my few friends. I will do anything for them.

So there you go. Me in a nutshell. Any other questions, feel free to ask.

What it's all about!

"I have no ambition in this world but one,

and that is to be a Fireman.

The position may, in the eyes of some,

appear to be a lowly one;

but we who know the work which a fireman

has to do, believe his is a noble calling.

Our proudest moment is to save...lives.

Under the impulse of such thoughts the nobility of

the occupation thrills us and stimulates us to

deeds of daring, even of supreme sacrifice."
