MOUNTAIN BREEZE: is North 8 miles from the Shell Station
at the intersection of Highway 46 & River Road.
From Sattler (FM 2673), Mountain Breeze is 5 miles South on River Road.
FROM HOUSTON: I-10 to Hwy 46 (New Braunfels Exit 607 in Seguin) right on 46, travel 18 miles to River Road at the Shell Station.
Turn right on River Road, and travel 8 more miles.
FROM DALLAS-AUSTIN: I-35 to Hwy 46 (New Braunfels Exit 189), right on 46 to River Road, turn right at the Shell, drive up river 8 more miles.

About me:
2008 National Fire Performance Championship - Texas Regional
Presented by the National Fire Performance League
Dedicated to Fire Performance Arts and Artists and The Proliferation Thereof.
Fire Dancer/Agency Registration
NFPL is initiating it's NFPL Agent Network specializing in promoting fire dancers.
We need to start rounding up everyone's info for promotions. It'll take a few weeks, possibly longer, to get things rollin, so please be patient. We are a very large group of folks and it may take a while.
This is available for fire dancers in ALL locations in the world.
Here's what we need:
1. Your first and last name and stage name
2. Your location
3. What all fire tools you can perform confidently at a gig and how long you have been doin each.( you may want to include a link to a decent quality vid of you performing each tool)
4. What fire tools you are learning.
5. Your regular email
6. Your Cell #
7. What you charge for your services. ( give several prices for different lengths of performance)
8. Links to your promo materials (profiles, websites, videos, photos,flyers, etc). Be aware that customers will be directed to the links you send, so if your personal profiles are not suitable for promotion to all audiences, use a separate profile that you design specifically for your promotions. Customers range from mild to wild, so if you are available to work for both crowds, you should have a wild profile and a mild profile. We don't want to send a school teacher to your fire burlesque profile...unless, of course, they ask for it! Indicate "Mild" or "Wild" if you have multiples.
8. A picture of yourself with your Safety Gear AND the safety person you will be using for gigs. We must be able to clearly identify each of your safety items. They are:
a. fire extinguisher
b. spinoff bucket
c. funnel
d. 2 towels
e. fuel bucket
f. water bucket
g. garden/water hose with a spray nozzle that shuts itself off
h. First Aide Kit
i. No Smoking Sign
j. the fuel you use and the MSDS Sheets for each type- the manufacturer website has them for download
k. a hand towel
**If you do not own all these items, you must include your safety partner and any safety gear they own. ALL items must be shown in your Safety Gear Photo and you are expected to have access to all of it upon being hired, regardless of who owns it.
9. If you hold any current or expired Fire Arts Certifications/Licenses (FEO,Pyrotechnician,etc.) Emergency Services Certifications(CPR,EMT, Fire Fighter,etc.) please include in your email response.
10. One photo of all your un-lit tools together. We must be able to clearly identify the clasps, connectors, grips, materials, etc. Keep in mind that some fire marshals require 250lb test strength for chains, grips, links, etc. We will be posting updated tool specs soon.
This is the preliminary step. We are currently conducting surveys and gathering information about the market. Once we have accumulated a list of performers over a broad area, we will send you a packet containing:
1. NFPL Performer Guidelines- you will fill this out and return it
2. NFPL Agent Guidelines and Instructions/Tips- If you want to earn extra income by booking gigs, you will fill this out and return it. Each of you should act as agents for both yourself and other fire dancers in your area and other cities/countries- no obligations
3. Fire Dancer Questionnaire- you will fill this out and return it
4. General NFPL Information
5. Fire Dancer/Agent/Customer Contracts for Doing Business
6. Venue Inspection Guidelines and Forms
7. Agent Order Forms
8. Hazard Mitigation and Emergency Response Plan Outline- this is for indoor gigs and cities which require them
9. 2008-2009 Market Survey Results
Periodically, updates will be sent out regarding Quality Control Surveys, safety, market changes, and community feedback.

Last Year's Pro and Amateur Fire Performance Competition and River Tubing Camp out
Was held Sept. 26th, 27th, & 28th 2008
At Mountain Breeze Campground on the Guadalupe River in New Braunfels, Tx
Activities included:
World Class Fire Performance Championship
Amateur Fire Performance Championship
Tubing/Rafting on the Guadalupe River
Safety Classes
Networking and Social Events
Tubin,campin,the beautiful Guadalupe River and lots of folks havin fun!.
All for one price!
Everyone paid $30 per night which included:
Camping
Tubing/Rafting Rentals
Shuttle Passes
Competitors paid an additional $10 per night which included:
Entry into the championship
NFPL Membership for one year
Safety Classes
Lots of Networking and Social Events
What we are doing:
- We call fire performers together for the purpose of bringing safe and highly skilled fire professionals and enthusiasts to the market so that this art form may grow and provide entertainers integrity, security, and broad acceptance as legitimate and professional entertainers.
- We are connecting fire performers with the market which may hire their services, not as agents but as third party advocates and verification services.
- Providing amateurs and hobbyists opportunities to excel in their new chosen art form and provide a gateway into the profession in a manner which best serves the entire community.
- Establishing a National Safety Standard for Fire Performance and Venue Selection/Inspection/Improvement.
- Gaining recognition from nationwide Fire Departments as a reputable liaison to insure safe, ethical fire performance practice.

After the Event- Depending on the the number of competitors, there will be a period needed to assess all scores and report to the members of the names and scores of the winners. All winners will be contacted directly from the registration information provided at the gate and registration.
- Single meteor poi = A single chain with a single fire meteor
- A meteor refers to a single ball of fire.
- "Single meteor poi" are what most refer to as regular poi and commonly used as a twin set.
- What most refer to as "regular poi" are actually "twin single meteor poi"
- Double meteors are a single chain or rope with a meteor at each end. Twin Double meteors would be two of these used in tandem.
