BUY WAR COWARD EP ON ITUNES BY CLICKING ABOVE!WHAT THOUGHT OF 'WAR COWARD'...This song swings right from the start. That rhythm is so simple but effective. Then the offtime guitars come in. Some nice lead guitar over the top. It builds perfectly. Nice work guys. Keep songs this good coming please!
Richard Kingsmill - 2008WHAT THOUGHT OF 'LIBRA TANGO CANCER'...This is electro pop performed by an angry mob. For the most part it's rapid, energetic and violent, although there's something strangely wonderful about the unexpected groove breakdown. There's also a great call and response section towards the end. The performances are good but not mind-blowing. Impressive stuff.
Vijay Khurana - WEEKEND LUNCH
I can hear the Q And Not U influence coming through in the jagged rhythm. It's not a great song, but the elements are there for this band to do possibly great things. Richard Kingsmill - 2008

Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire! have spent the past 2 years being the city of churches’ best kept secret, playing enthusiastic and passionate shows supporting some of the best international and national touring acts around.
Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire!’s brand of monolithic, angular rock evokes former glories of bands such as Pretty Girls Make Graves and Q & Not U, as well as current luminaries My Disco and Minus the Bear. F!SR,F! also contains a pop-sensibility often relegated in today’s vapid culture to mobile ringtones and one-hit wonders.
Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire! bring you the eagerly anticipated second single from their forthcoming album (due early 2010), 'Animal Spirit Guide'. The song is a barnstorming country inspired jam, taking on classic arrangements with a new found sense of musical experimentation.
'Animal Spirit Guide' will be available from iTunes from August 2009, along with the b-side demo 'April/May'.
Also available from iTunes is Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire!’s introduction to the Dot Dash/Remote Control Records stable, is the War Coward single/EP- 3 minutes of pitch-shifted, post-millennial tension, led by new singer/chanteuse Caitlin Duff.
Released as a digital EP through iTunes in March 2009, War Coward EP also contains the previously unreleased demo Merchant Ships, as well as a remix of War Coward, by Electro-mashup outfit The Waterslides. War Coward was featured single of the week on iTunes for the month of April 2009.
Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire! recently have supported such bands/individuals as diverse as Neil Young, TV on the Radio, My Morning Jacket (BDO) as well as Girl Talk, Architecture in Helsinki and Pivot (Laneway), Soulwax, Ladytron and Peaches (Parklife) and toured across the country with Born Ruffians (Canada). In previous years F!SRF! have the honor of supporting the cream of international and local talent, including the Rapture's Matt B. Safer (USA), Spank Rock (USA), Sia (USA), Midnight Juggernauts, Muscles, Young and Restless, The Avalanches, Sarah Blasko, The Red Sun Band, Children Collide, Ewan Pearson (UK/GER), Red Riders, Something For Kate, Dappled Cities, Snowman, Expatriate and have played at the Big Day Out, Parklife and Homebake Festivals.
Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire! are currently on tour throughout Australia over October/November 2009 with I Heart Hiroshima as well as on our own national tour! Come check us out at a show near you soon!
With 2009 looking to be a great year for F!SRF! with their recent signing to Dot Dash / Remote Control Records and plenty of summer festivals yet to come, we look forward to seeing you out on the road soon!
PRESS:
First support Fire! Santa, Rosa Fire! had driven down from Adelaide – their bassist arriving in Melbourne only twenty minutes prior to sound-check – so I had to feel bad for them playing to a crowd barely in its 10s, and slowly building. They launched into their set, and already their sound and their initial emphasis on ambiance had very much begun to remind me of Stars. The band is rock as rock can be, their sound jam-laden and intense right from start to finish. They’re certainly a talented group in this respect, but a change of pace from the stampedes of drums and the stabs of guitar mid-set was, ultimately, refreshing. The greatest thing I took away from Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire! was an insight to their personalities, coupled with their genuine desire and love for performing. A slight technical fault occurred early on within their set, but their ability to weather the situation with their playful banter and charisma was a fun glimpse at a band that enjoys being a band, through both the ups and downs.
- BORN RUFFIANS REVIEW (FEB 3rd 2009, FASTER LOUDER)One of the more obtuse bands coming out of RADelaide (that’s Adelaide by the way) is Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire! who sound like At The Drive-In, Circa Survive and The Mars Volta are wrapped up in a highly combustible package that, upon explosion, you can’t help but dance to.
A handful of self-released EPs have been committed to the annals of the Fire boys, and a new bun is cooking in the oven as we speak. The highly pitch-shifted first crumb from their forthcoming album is ‘War Coward’, a tasty offering that foregoes the usual verse-chorus-verse shtick and adapts a more cyclical format, ebbing and flowing rather than adhering to any set structure. Definitely a grower. - REVIEW OF 'WAR COWARD' from WHOTHEHELL.NET!!! Start Code To Apply Top Banner !!!!
