About me:
part one- an installation, opening may 2, 2008 as part of columbia college chicago's interdisciplinary book and paper mfa thesis exhibition. the installation will include letterpress prints that i will create based on stories that i receive from people. there will also be other ephemera from the fireside on display; photos and flyers and such.

part two- a book covering the history of the fireside. this one will take a while!

eventually- a web archive. (anyone want to volunteer to help take on this)

Who I'd like to meet:
anyone who has ever been to the fireside bowl, mainly during the period of 1994-2004. and the guy that used to sell fake flowers during shows

the most important piece to the history is the audience... the devoted music fans that showed up day after day... those that waited for hours to get in, even in the rain... out-of-towners that drove miles for a show... anyone who has been to the fireside and don't forget everyone that put hours and months and years into keeping the place running

i need your memories, your stories long or short. tell me YOUR story.

not only do i need personal stories. i am looking for photographs, flyers, sound pieces and video footage... anything that documents the fireside's history.
