   About FIRES IN JAPAN
Straight outta da' 313...nah, that's unnecessary. We're Fires in Japan. Origin of the name: Toilet seat warmers. Seriously. A korean friend of ours told us that a majority of household fires in japan are caused by malfunctioned toilet seat warmers that spark electricity and set people's houses on fire. Fucked up right? But I assure you, we're nothing entirely comedic. We have fun playing shows and we make sure you have fun watching/participating in them. We're all influenced by modern melodic hardcore/90's punk stuff (as listed in our influences) and we try and bring back that punk scene that has now been over run by overly pretentious artsy shit and overly excessive angry hardcore about how if you're not vegan or straight edge, you're nothing. I say fuck that ridiculousness and bring on the cigarettes, booze, and good times with or without. It started with Evan and myself (Andrew) two years ago as a project to get signed by some major label. That fell through and we realized the flaw in our plan and that selling out so quick is stupid. Steve was involved in that as well, and that's how we met him and decided to start something new. Aubrey was a friend of a friend of ours and we found out he played bass... fate? We like to think so. We've all been writing together almost over a year now and have yet to record something with the full band. So until, then enjoy listening to the acoustic thing Evan and myself did on my laptop last summer. WE ALSO HAVE PATCHES COMING SOON! The scans of those will be up sometime in the future. Hand made, long lasting jacket, man purse, etc. patches that range from the simplest small patch to back patches. We also do custom colors and orders because aubrey and myself are art students and want to sell our stuff. So enjoy the music and come out to a show. Learn the words, sing along, feel the same as we do.

Thanks for coming to the show and don't worry about the smoking. It's just our issue because it makes it hard for us to sing. I don't know what your message was for me because it got cut off. oh well! goodnight!
