August 30, 2008 - Notre Dame, Paris, France 10:30 p.m. - Fire dancing with the Ali Baba Fire Tribe in the square in front of Notre Dame was truly spectacular. How you did those leg tricks with those giant pants on I'll never know. I'm glad I could teach you a few new moves, you sure taught me a lot even though we didn't speak the same language. Cross-culture fire dancing! I highly recommend it! :)

August 28, 2008 CLUB H.O.G. 25th Anniversary Celebration, Miller Park, shows at 5:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Harley Owners know how to get down and have fun. Once the flames went out from our last fire show, the audience gathered around us and our D.J. and danced to his beats until Kid Rock took the stage. It was a sweaty good time had by all. The D.J. really knew how to get us up and dancing despite the summer heat and the thick crowd! Irresistible. No one could stand still.

August 15, 2008 Bellydancing Jam at the Milwaukee Gay Arts Center, 10:30 p.m. – Boy, you guys are SO NICE! What a reception! I didn’t realize the impression we made on you last time, but it sure was great to be so appreciated by all you wonderful dancers. Your costumes were gorgeous!

August 10, 2008, Beach Burn, Pewaukee Lake, WI – Who would have thought such a great place for fire dancing existed only 35 minutes away from Bay View! It was absolutely perfect, couldn’t have asked for a more fire-ready performance space and such nice hosts. Jenny had everything set up for us, we practically didn’t have to lift a finger, and the lake was gorgeous at night with all the little twinkly lights Tina had out on the pier. It’s always a pleasure to perform for people who appreciate the delicacies of dancing with fire.
**************************************************
August 9, 2008, Private Party, Waukesha, WI - The Merrill Hills Country Club is a great place to live next to, so pretty there! Thanks, Grant and Melissa, for letting us dance with fire on your tennis court. We made good use of your net, didn’t we! You were very generous with your spectacular buffet, and your sound and lighting system was quite professional for the evening’s festivities. Thanks for inviting us back next year!

August 8, 2008 WORLD HOOP DAY! Milwaukee, WI - 8AM and 8PM, we were out there in downtown Milwaukee, getting those business people to hoop! Morning at the giant orange metal sunburst sculpture at the end of Wisconsin Ave., evening at Red Arrow Park, rockin' out to our music, getting passersby into the hoopin' groove! It was a Wonderful Hoop Day 2008!

**************************************************
August 2, 2008 - 9:00 p.m. Corporate Party, Oconomowoc, WI - What a beautiful setting for the "Night Under The Stars" show, the pool was glittering, the palm trees swaying, the torches lit all around twinkled...and then the fire started! Our music and costumes went perfect with the night's theme and our routines conveyed the type of beautiful-yet-tinged-with-danger excitement that the guests were primed for. Thank you, Steve, for your generosity and letting us surprise your guests with a fire show that was one of our best yet.
**************************************************
July 31, 2008 - 10:00 p.m. Alterra Coffee, Milwaukee, WI - Hooping to the music of De La Buena! Wow, that Latin Jazz is hot! We were skakin' our little butts off, workin' up a sweat like you wouldn't believe! What a perfect night, excellent weather, and it turned out to our advantage that the band started late, the darker it was outside, the better for hooping! Lots of compliments from the huge crowd that was there enjoying dancing and drinking; one group set up the world's smallest picnic table, complete with chilled glasses for champagne. Never saw that before!
**************************************************
July 26, 2008 - Club Event, San Francisco, CA - One of the lovely Fire Sirens got the call to perform in San Fran this weekend! Banshee did her thing at the "BBQ" club at 11 p.m. and again at 1 a.m. Both fire and glow hooping got the crowd excited and on their feet. Being a rocker kind of girl, she worked the crowd with her Black Rebel Motorcycle Club outfit, for whom she'll be hooping when they hit Wisconsin in the upcoming months.
**************************************************
July 25, 2008 - Midnight, Motorcycle party, Franklin, WI -
Thanks to the Harley gang at the "roadhouse." We had a blast performing on fire to your music. Your unique style allowed us to get creative with our toyz; I don't think any one of the three of us did those tricks before, we were just inspired by your rockin' style to let it all hang out and get wild. Your security guys sure knew their stuff and kept the crowd in line. A BIG thank you to them! Glad you liked our costumes ;)
**************************************************
July 20, 2008 - 10:25 p.m. Festa Italiana, Milwaukee, WI - After the astounding double round of Festa fireworks, the Fire Sirens went off! The crowd that caught our act at the South end really enjoyed our routines to Lebanese Blonde and a special one for Festa, "That's Amore!" Dean Martin himself would have been impressed with how we set his song on fire!
**************************************************
July 19, 2008 10:45 p.m. - Birthday Party, Door County, WI - Americana summertime remains in full fledge up in this part of the world. Red and white checkered table cloths, daisies and wild strawberries in full bloom, lemonade stands run by freckled faced kids next to long dusty roads, skipping rocks into the lake, it was easy to forget that anything else existed beyond the lazy late July days of Wisconsin's very own island culture, so you could only imagine what our audience's reaction was when we graced this small town band shell with our exotic performance. I think the heat of their astounding reaction was actually hotter than the fire we were spinning and the children's eyes were so wide with excitement. I remember their round suntanned faces in the front of the audience, reflecting the light of our fire dance. No Lion's Club fish boil will ever be the same. Thank you for having us at your benefit!
**************************************************
July 18th, 2008, 10:30 p.m. - Benefit for the Milwaukee Gay Arts Center, Hot Water/Wherehouse. My oh my! Two shows in one night! Our partner, SnowFire, did an indoor fire show over at Club Moct at the exact same time Fire Sirens were doing an indoor glow show at Wherehouse, the new club behind Hot Water. Dancing to Kool Moe Dee's "I Go To Work" really got the crowd going and gave us a complete workout, we were all over the huge dance floor, strutting our stuff. Then we hopped on over to Moct to catch the last set of SnowFire. We have video of both shows so we'll post that soon! SnowFire had the crowd cheering at Moct, and the Milw. Gay Arts Center had a very successful benefit at Wherehouse. Thanks for hiring us, everybody!
**************************************************
July 17, 2008 - Family Reunion Party, Madison, WI 10:00 p.m. - Thanks to the Brooks family for their generous hospitality and treating the fire entertainers so well. You guys make a mean mojito! July 12, 2008 10:00 p.m. - Corporate party, Milwaukee, WI
It was great making new friends at the party on the South Shore! We made the night a little hotter than usual ;) We also discovered that executives make the best people to invite up on stage to try hooping for the first time! Employees really seem to like watching their bosses wiggle their hips. :)
**************************************************
July 11, 2008 - Bellydancing Jam at the Milwaukee Gay Arts Center, 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. What a wonderful group of people bellydancers are! They are so welcoming, friendly, supportive and appreciative. They loved the glow hoop and some had never seen hooping before at all. Thanks to all the folks who came up afterwards to talk about hooping and take an interest. See you on the 18th!

4th of July Fireworks & Fire show, 11:00 p.m. - Private event, Greenfield, WI. What a blast, and I mean that literally. Those Greenfielders sure know how to play with fire...works, that is. We provided the fire on the ground, they provided the fire in the sky, and together we pulled off an amazing show that had the crowd on their feet, cheering. Thanks to Pat and Chris for hiring us and helping us do crowd control during our sets. You guys rock!

SUMMERFEST! Thursday, July 3, 2008 - Milwaukee, WI.
Hooping for Thievery Corporation, who performed on the Miller Lite stage at 10:00 p.m. was awesome! That is simply some of the best music to hoop to, everything just flowed out of all three of us. We couldn't STOP hooping! Our audience went wild for our hoop dancing and we had some audience participation, too! Thanks to the lovely girls who were inspired to join us, you guys were really great. And thanks to the Toe Ring ladies who told us about Bonaroo. See you there next year!

June 13, 2008- Birthday Party at Karma!
9:00 p.m.
A beautiful new place and the friendly staff was easy to work with, and the birthday girl was gorgeous! The show was meant for the birthday party only, but how are you gonna keep a big bar full of people inside when they see beautiful girls throwing fire around outside the front windows? Everybody poured out into the street! Thanks to the Sherriff's personnel who helped with crowd control. ;)

June 7, 2008 - PRIDEFEST! Saturday was smokin' hot! Yeah, it was like 90 degrees, but that's not what I'm talkin' bout. Did you check out the hottest hooping girls in the state at the main gate at Pridefest, on the Summerfest grounds, noon to 2:00 p.m? We even got the Furries to hoop! Thanks to Paul and Steve who made this great show happen. We had a blast and it was nice to be near the cool fountain, cuz we were HOT!!!!

Friday, November 2nd, 2007 - MAD PLANET! We started out at River Horse but whoa! No room there! Although we were accosted by a girl/boy who begged us to let her/him use our hoop, saying he/she was formerly a hooper in some kind of sex circus. Uh huh. Don't use MY hoop, honey! We quickly got out of there and went to our favorite place, the Planet, where we got to hoop to one our favorite Eurythmics songs so we had a blast and received a VERY nice compliment from Rosemary (who helped us out of a minor jam, too. THANK YOU ROSEMARY AGAIN)

Fire Siren hoops for the Love Monkeys! Way too early in the morning to be up, one of the Sirens showed up at Pere Marquette Park to see the Love Monkeys perform on the channel six morning show Friday July 20th, 2007. She hooped to some great music and may have been caught on camera once or twice! She let some of the audience use her hoop after they applauded her wildly.

One of the Fire Sirens unexpectedly appeared at MONA's on 1st Street, glow hooping her brains out! For an hour and a half she dazzled the crowd, commandeering the entire dance floor. People clamored to know where she got her hoop from (PSI, of course!) and tell her she was awesome. She thanked the crowd profusely and then disappeared into the night. Who knows where she'll turn up next! Rumors are Cage might be the next spot...

So much love and appreciation from our adoring audience, we were moved. Moved off the street! "In the photo, they stand a few rows ahead and a little to the left of Marilyn Besasie, 42, of Milwaukee. Besasie is holding a pink hula hoop.
Besasie is a member of the Fire Sirens, a local group that performs exotic fire hoop dancing. She's here for the photo, but what she's really excited about is her collapsible hula hoop. She demonstrates how it folds up."
Thanks again Anna for I loVe HOOPING day at the lakefront! Alia and I had a GREAT time. I look forward to your hooping classes at the Hide House in November. ,,
Tommorrow is the BIG DAY--in getting to Film him at a Couple of Bigger Events. All Indie, all the way baby...I love Broadcast Journalism and Human Interest Stories that tie into Civicism, add Maestro, and Inventiveness...I am one lucky lady living it up here in Milwaukee, in so many ways.
Happy Editing! I know OUR Footage---M.A.S.C. MadCapArtsSymposium Coalition or Survivalist Company-Underground, Bootleg, All Indie All the Time (my company since 1994) and Castle Walls Entertainment (Laurie Muffler's Company) are going to have one helluva good time filming tommorrow and cutting that sucker up...It's like Capturing The GrandPooba of Marlins off the Pacific Coast, with a NET! Okay maybe not, but still Look what he has brought to the world of Music. Enough Said...
I met him before, around 2000, at Northern Light Theater, Potowatamie Bingo Casino, Milwaukee, WI. I was a stagehand kicking it with Jeff Walluch, he was then the stagemanager. Jeff Walluch or Wally, as we called him, was the only one who really would vote people off the stagehand island, and eventually everybody gets rotated out...
I am getting ahead of myself: Wally as we would call him, was with Tommy Bolin, not only the night he died, but was in the same room, pretty much at the time, trying to save his life. He also has 4 Grammy for Styx, Journey, REO, Kansas, all LIVE albums. HE introduced ME to Les Paul. I was sitting in his office, probably squirming, and he says to me that Les is dropping by and asks was I aware of who he was, and of course I knew. He said hang around and I would get to meet him.
We were sitting there and Les and a Couple of Guys walked through the backatge area, and Wally waved and they peeked their head in and said Hi!....and this was a small office. My chair was right in the doorway practically . So we said Hi! Back, and Wally asked him something or vice versa. I think I stood up to offer him my chair, but they were

Wow! The Pirates sure know how to party! The Fire Sirens amazed the huge crowd with wild Glow Hooping from the upper deck of the Iroquois, and then blew the crowd away with erotic Fire Hoop dancing late in the evening. We had a great time and the party was fabulous. Catch us out and about - we can pop up anywhere, anytime!
