"...The night truly belonged to Fire the Cannons, however. The band is a fuzzed-out, melodic monster, with tunes ranging from jagged rockers to electric lullabies. Claire's powerful vocals were nicely complemented by Flannigan's harmonies, resulting in some Pixies-esque textures. Although it's only a three-piece, the group sounded remarkably full. This probably has to do with Flannigan's intriguing bass style, which utilizes chording, strumming and all manner of stompboxes.
