Love. Loss. Lust. These are all emotions that commonly inspire musicians. Early twentieth century United States Supreme Court Justices do not usually make the cut.

Enter Conway, Arkansas’ Fire To Reason, whose name was inspired by highly quotable Associate Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes’ statement, “Eloquence may set fire to reason.”

Born October 28,2005, Fire To Reason began a relentless tour schedule with a sound that combined an emotional skillful blend of hardcore, metal and rock. A brutal energetic form of therapy through music. Fire To Reason is something musically unique. What really makes the band stand out from the throngs of other hard rock acts currently scouring the planet are their savage live performances. Their declaration to make every night an "experience" for fans rather than just a "show" has proven to be the most appreciated trait of the band among fans.

The non-stop touring and methodical songwriting eventually resulted in Fire To Reason selling over 5,000 copies of their first full-length album, Miles And Miles, with little publicity. Due to the success of the first full length album, FTR landed a song on the Compilation "Monuments" released June 23,2009 Maritime/Trustkill alongside top heavyweight bands Bring Me The Horizon, Winds Of Plague,Suicide Silence,Bleeding Through,All Shall Perish and Meshuggah. The compilation was distributed worldwide in stores, including 2009 Warped Tour, Mayhem Tour & Ozzfest.

In early 2011, Fire To Reason proudly delivered their new album "Straight No Chaser" to the masses. Intriguing and armed to the teeth with an arsenal of rapid fire beats, machine gun riffs and new augmented southern rock flavor, the new album was an instant success. Selling over a 1,000 copies the first month, solidifying their spot in the American southern rock hardcore ranks.

Reason isn’t the only thing this band is setting fire to. The band burns some serious rubber, playing 250 shows a year.Since their inception in 2005, Fire To Reason has shared the stage with over 2,000 bands including Evergreen Terrace, Lucero, AFI and Slayer.

Traveling 110,000 miles, performing over 800 shows in 48 States, FTR has become one of the most aggressive active touring bands in the United States recently completing their 30th U.S tour.
