The firhill music collective will be putting on pre match gigs in the maryhill area, this season. A local venue has been secured and it is hoped that it can serve as a vehicle for bands to showcase their talents to the discerning partick thistle fanbase. Bands don't have to be fans of our club but if so all the better.
Periodically we will put on gigs in the city centre in the evening in order to increase the jags profile in the glasgow music scene. If an actual music scene could develop around the ptfc banner then all the better. Any proceeds from the concerts will be donated to the jags trust and a couple of local based charities.
At this stage, only bands that can sort out their own music equipment can be put on excluding the PA which will be covered by us.
Got a date penciled for the Ross County game in the 30/8
If anybody wants to get their group onto this bandwagon please message us.
Anybody who wants to help out in organising and running of this please message us.

Jim Gellatly's NEW MUSIC #3 - recorded Saturday October 4 '08 - Partick Thistle vs. Dundee, Firhill Stadium, Glasgow.
Episode #3 of Jim Gellatly's NEW MUSIC sees Jim exploring his two main passions… New Music and Dundee FC! Prior to Dundee's away game to Partick Thistle, he links up with some Jags fans who are putting on a series of gigs under the Firhill Music Collective banner… and gets a live acoustic track from local rock'n'rollers The Primary School. It's then off to the game itself, with musical accompaniment along the way from another selection of acts starting to make waves… Wake The President, Hidden Masters, The Draymin, Rags & Feathers, The Fire And I, Alex Cornish and Dance Lazarus Dance.
well looking forward to it, its our only gig really before december and it'll be great doing an accoustic set during the day! Busy bees we are at the minute :) all good cheers, tam
