HOGLEG creates music the old-fashioned way, it comes from a fusion of the members personalities. So let me tell you a little bit about them.
JOM plays guitar and sings. He is a painter, and a great one at that. His lyrical content is very colorful and visually stimulating as one might expect, however, it is sometimes verging on the border of psychotic. "You never would have thought that an acoustic Fender could sound like that!", exclaimed an innocent bystander as JOM screams in his drawl, "Hey, I've got Mad-Cow's Disease!"
TAR, who works in a mental hospital (so they can keep an eye on him) plays bass and also sings for HOGLEG. From the driving country feel to the rumbling fuzz of bass distortion, TAR lays down mentally deranged grooves, that's for sure. His lyrical substance should be evaluated for the next School House Rock release.
And then of course the glue of HOGLEG, BIL. He busts loose with jazz/punk/rockabilly rhythms that take the band and all those entranced by the butter energy surrounding the Hog boys, on tempo changes that almost make yer heart stop. BIL also supplies the practice space in his apartment that is located above his job at the liquor store.
Sometimes lurking in the shadows on stage or playing his noise maker from the bathroom at BIL's place, the peripheral member, D-503, adds a rich variety of tonal coloring with phasing, slide guitar and chunky rhythms. Little is known about the so-called member except for rumored involvement with the CIA.
