About First Instinct

First Instinct is a high energy Post-Punk Rock band that formed mid-way through 2003. Their music is loud, tight and addictive, from their sweet guitar riffs, to their catchy melodies and strong up-lifting lyrics that reflect their beliefs and lifestyle. Also known for their massive stage presence and awesome live performances, First Instinct never cease to impress their ever growing suportive fans.

After winning the the Hastings Battle Of The Bands in their local area, they went on to take out the 'Rock-It' division of the highly acclaimed National Youth Week Awards 2004 with their song "Always There".

The bands full length debut album "A Collection of Nows", was released at the end of 2004 and achieved awesome sales Australia wide. And now with their new release EP 'Transition', the band hope for an even greater 2007.

First Instinct has performed at events including: Sonfest 2005, Big EXOday 2005, Enliven, Reclaim, AGMF and many other schools, clubs, pubs and youth events.
