About me: FIRST WORLD, by Mark Lund (www.firstworldmovie.com), is an original science fiction epic. Its premise begins with a fictional account of the early years of NASA, when the United States and Soviet Union discovered a vast and advanced civilization on the Moon in the early 1960’s with their first space probes. While this civilization was able to shield itself from all Earth-based visual detection devices, Kennedy’s famous speech from 1961 that declared the intent to “Put a man on Moon and return him safely to the Earth” was not designed as a space race with the Soviet Union, but to establish contact with this newly discovered civilization. But when the Earth mission of this new civilization was discovered, political forces within the United States and Soviet Union demanded that Kennedy suspend the space program. Although speculation on those behind his assassination continues to this day, the eventual forced resignation of President Nixon against a fabricated political scandal covered up why manned landings on the Moon ended in 1972.
But this secret would not be kept forever.
It is now the year 2018 and the Chinese government has announced it is making its first manned mission to the Moon. Although the United States developed a secret second generation Space Shuttle program alongside its public Orion space program, it was Russia that assisted China in developing its space program after Nixon’s famed visit to China first provided the seed.
FIRST WORLD commences 24 hours prior to the Chinese launching their space vehicle. With the United States’ new Robert Anderson Presidential Administration caught off guard by the Chinese announcement, and with British Prime Minister Allison Colby seemingly not only in the know about this civilization but also less than one day from announcing the reformation of the British Empire to protect itself from World events, Anderson wrestles with the realization that the real enemy may not be those from the Moon at all, but those that already know but have kept the truth from his fledgling administration. This includes Elisabeth Seward, his Secretary of State whose origins seemingly date back to the Presidency of Abraham Lincoln.
It is through the life of Seward that we gain insight into this mysterious worldwide cover-up. A civilization thousands of years more advanced than Earth’s, whose inhabitants look just like us but apparently live hundreds of years. And who is Elisabeth’s friend Cedric and what does he represent? With sciences, technology and transportation only theoretical to present day Earth, their mission may not be that of Earth’s tomorrow but its yesterday.
From the expansive beaches of Dennis, Massachusetts, to the power of Washington, D.C., to a secret meeting with heads of state, to an equestrian event that reveals a new world order, FIRST WORLD will take you on a visually stunning journey to reality anew.
With the United States military frayed to the breaking point from recent World events, FIRST WORLD is a race across continents, governments, religions, peace and war for all of mankind on Earth and beyond.
