   About FisherStStudios
Fisher St Studio in Carlisle offers both studio and live recording services. Whatever the situation we aim to provide the experience and effort that will help achieve the best results possible for the band/artist. Check the clips for examples of recent work.

Studio Recording

A large live room and 16 simultaneous input channels allows for the tracking of full groups without the need for excessive overdubbing. The control room is also a good size, easily seating/slumping a band.

A 16 channel multicore cable running from the venue's FOH mixer to the studio allows multitrack recording of any gig at the Brickyard. Mixing and editing of the material can then be carried out after the event.

K-Promotions Gig #6,K-Promotions Gig #6

Kaikoura have (by far) the freshest, most dynamic and vibrant sound on the scene right now, you'd be hard-pressed to find any other current band who epitomise the fury of intense live energy that Kaikoura achieve.

Tripdash waste no time laying out blistering, hooky hardcore punk anthems, each one sure to inspire pumping fists and mosh pits, and hell - maybe even a sing along or two. Unapologetically political, Tripdash is sure to please fans of the melodic hardcore punk genre.

Support from Battle To Exile and Obvious Outcome.

K-Promotions Gig #5

Driven beyond doubt by an innate passion for the music they play, Blast Stereos Loud combine emotive lyrical hooks with haunting chord progressions that will rip your heart out, tattoo their name all over it and staple it back, while you, unknowingly, continue to tap your pink converse on the sticky floors of the venues they lure you into...

Everything Burns are a vocal driven sound house, with epic guitar riffs, stomping bass lines and thunderous drums all compiled together to create an explosive sounding band.

None The Less singer, Ant, sounds like a cross between Charlie Simpson from Fightstar and Daniel Johns from Silverchair. It TOTALLY works. They're working their arses off and getting in people's faces at the moment. Awesome, awesome band.

One of the best up and coming bands to come out of the North east this year. Using a great mixture of sounds from melodic tunes to amazing rock tracks to keep the crowd going To Save A Soul are definatly a band to watch out for this year!

Tickets available for £5 Adv from

Saturday 15th March 2008 @ The Brickyard, 14 Fisher Street, Carlisle

K-Promotions presents… 12 Gauge Alliance, Kyra & iSpystrangers

With more metal than Bullet for my valentine, 12 Gauge Alliance mix those sickeningly infectious melodies that welsh bands seem to nail so well, with a wall of sonic heaviness that can only be created if you’ve been weened on a diet of early 90s Pantera

Straight from the heart of the Lake District, Kyra are ready to establish themselves as one of the most promising unsigned bands in the UK. With tons of local shows under thier belt; opening for bands like Raging Speedhorn, Failsafe, Fei Comodo, The Nothing, Fony, This Girl, My Passion, My Awesome Compilation, Aconite Thrill, Days in December (to name a few) Kyra have turned heads with their energetic and enthralling live show. Their on-stage presence and originality have earned them praise from fans and piers alike and have no doubt made them a band to watch out for.

iSPYSTRANGERS blend a range of melody and harmony, with forceful heavy guitars and driving riffs to provide something truly special. They provide warm and gentle melodies that you will open your heart to, before being slashed with a machete of brutal heavy energy. Live, they are a band that never stands still; like a ball of continuous energy which never fails to ignite your interest and keeps you coming back for more.

Lightclub wishes you a buoyant new year... and a tasteful dose of spam!

And here's a little about the acts (click the names for links):

ROSE KEMP

“one of the best British female voices since Beth Gibbons...”
- Mark Russel, Disorder

“Dark and sinister yet alluring and beautiful at the same time, how this music manages to combine such pretty and hideous sides is a mystery to me.”
- Dan Newman, Joyzine

MANATEES

“A talent and scope of vision that far outweighs their short career so far”
- Oliver Turner, Die Shellsuit Die

“It's easy to get lost in this music- Manatees will completely take over your mind”
- Killer Dienamite Magazine

MUSHI MUSHI

"its the noise of a John Peel show, sliced, spliced and compressed into three-minute slabs of small wonder... it sounds good on record but unusually for this kind of outfit, its even better live... it really shouldn't work but it does. and brilliantly so."
- Ian Fletcher, The Crack
