the pre-futurist movement concerns the art/culture that permeates the now and that will alter significantly the art/culture of tomorrow. in this way we can avoid the post-post-modern problem of labeling. in a retroactive labeling we can say that said art or movement was indicative of the pre-futurist era that spanned from 2002-2009. subtitles of movements would become the norm, but would also not limit the era described into a defined box. if i hear "post-brow" one more time, i will shoot andy warhol's tombstone (if he has one)
