Notes In The Margin...

We'll be uploading some new COVER music as a demo for local venues since we'll be playing locally for a time. However, we still have plenty of originals in the can, so once we've lined up our local gigs, we'll update the player with our newly re-mixed originals. Until then, you can hear our covers which we've played in NYC and elsewhere. We should have the originals up by late spring to sink your teeth into. Please be patient. Sometimes, you have to do covers a while before your originals take over your life.

The Bio's:

Brian Bingaman

("Bing" to pretty much anybody who knew him before 1998) sometimes sings and sometimes plays a Takamine G Series EG-240 electric acoustic guitar (with Peavy Envoy 110 amp). A divorced, single dad taking on the task of shaping his son into a better man than he turned out to be, he's a writer and radio DJ by trade. Writing songs since he was 15 and playing guitar since he was 16, Brian's biggest influences are The Beatles, John Lennon in particular, The Smiths, The Cure, pre-1995 REM, Bruce Springsteen's '70s and '80s material, and Bob Dylan. Further inspiration comes from '60s classic rock, college/alternative rock from the first half of the '90s, the odd sounds of the '80s, the tremendously gifted musicians of Fish Relics, as well as Pete Saylor and John O'Donnell. Through his college undergrad years, he was also involved in theater arts.

Paul Saylor

Paul's passion is in playing keyboard (Yamaha Portable Grand DXG-205) and piano when appropriate. He is also a singer/songwriter. Paul has been playing since he was around 9 years old. He attended piano lessons for 6 excruciating years before realizing that classical music by itself was too dry for his taste. After taking a hiatus for a time, he never stopped playing and writing new music. His inspirations are: Billy Joel / Kansas / Styx / Rick Wakeman / Jim Steinman / Foreigner / Jethro Tull as well as a host of other musicians from the 70's (ie: Little Feat) and 80's (ie: Depeche Mode). Paul was also in a number of musicals, such as "Billy Lawlor" (Lead) in 42nd Street, Carousel, Cats & West Side Story. His other passion is creative writing, whereas he is still working on that Great American Novel he keeps starting yet never has time to finish. Paul is married with a beautiful daughter who hates his kind of music, but loves him anyway. Be sure to visit Paul's Solo WebSite "Cerebral Paul", which can be found at www.myspace.com/CerebralPaul.

 Pete Licona

Pete began playing guitar, a bit late by most standards, at the ripe age of 20. Growing up in the same area as Rick, Paul, and Brian, he developed an early interest in music due to his mother and father. Despite a few piano lessons in early youth and a few guitar lessons in his early twenties, Pete is a self-taught musician. His musical influences are The Doors, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Peter Tosh, Bob Marley, Roots Reggae, and anything from the late ‘60s. He uses the following equipment: Ibanez AW Series Acoustic, Gibson ES335, Epiphone Les Paul, Fender Blues Deville Amp, delay and chorus pedals. Primarily a rhythm acoustic player, Pete has recently begun to dabble in electric and lead guitar. He currently works as a university instructor and does part-time radio DJ work at a college radio station. Other than music, Peter enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking, and exercising.

Tom Stewart

Tom was initially inspired to play the drums by "The Little Drummer Boy" and by his Uncle Frank, who owned a black onyx Slingerland marching snare. Turns out that the much-idolized Uncle Frank (hey, dude had a moustache!) hardly ever used the drum, which later became the floor tom in Tom's first kit. Besides the Slingerland, that first kit included a Ludwig snare and bass drum, a no-name mounted tom, and a really tinny pair of Camber hi-hats. His early influences included Ringo Starr, John Bonham, Carl Palmer, Mark Brzezicki (Big Country anyone?), and all of the drummers in Spinal Tap. He was quite distressed in the '80s when electronic drums came on the scene. Being replaced by another drummer is bad enough, but being replaced by a machine? It's enough to become a Luddite. Over the years, he's played in a number of bands including the Toaster Monkeys and Hong Kong's Sophisticated Rubbish ("Classy Like Vinyl"). Currently, he's p laying Ludwig drums (fusion-style) with Evans EC2 Coated heads, Zildjian A Series cymbals (8" and 10" splashes, 14" and 16" crashes, and a 20" ride, plus 14" hi-hats), a Roc-n-Soc throne, Regal Tip sticks (5A and jazz), and an LP cowbell and blocks. Yes, folks, the boy is still playing with blocks.

Joe Digney

Joe is our wonderfully gifted basist. He also sings harmony, and when pressed hard enough - sings lead on a song or two (quite well, I may add - Joe: stop hiding those talents of yours! That's about all we know of "Say it ain't so" Joe. Still waiting for his bio. I'll put it up when I get it - until then, he's a man of many mysteries and talents.
