About me:
.. #< Fishtank is a small (intimate!) independent venue aiming to showcase a wide range of quality music in a friendly environment and provide a respite from the general naffness of Durham nightlife. We put on live bands on Fridays and Saturdays: anything from indie to punk to rock to funk to experimental to acoustic, followed by our resident DJs playing a patchwork disco of indie, soul and rock n roll (with the odd splash of old-school dance classics). Monday to Thursday it’ll be soul, funk, indie, latin, dnb, electro, broken beat, jazz – depending on the night. Our mantra is to keep it varied & try anything we like the sound of, strictly staying away from the cheese that Durham is flooded with. Thus we’ve also had nights of Brazilian capoeira, belly-dancing, ep launches, charity fundraisers, and even sketch comedy... Check our listings for more specifics!
