FWATS (more commonly known as the 0:-) or "Squiggle" Band) was formed to lead worship at the 0:-) youth congregation in 2004. The origional band was the branch off from Junction44 (Tubbs' previous band, which had split up), consisting of Tubbs, Mike, Jen, Dan, Gav, Karen, and Caitlin (after about a month). Hannah, Luke, Rebekah and Beth joined over the next few months as Karen, Gav, Dan and Jen left. Cerian joined in 2005 and Katie, Kath and Nat in 2006.
Over the last 2 years the we've changed and grown as an "open band", meaning that it will always be there to lead worship at 0:-), being basically formed for this purpose. The current line-up has been pretty steady for the past year (but we'll suddenly become an all girl band in september when both Tubbs and Luke run off to uni =[).
The name "Fishy Wishy and the Squigglets" was concieved out of the randomness of the whole group one practice, and stuck before we noticed (although for SOME reason no one knows our real name, and we generally refer to ourselves as either 0:-) or to a lesser extent FWATS).
So far we've performed at: Ablaze 2004, Ablaze 2005, Ablaze 2006, every 0:-) so far, a Pray for the City, and a SyNOD.
FWATS leads worship at 0:-) on the first saturday of every month in Carlisle's Tithe Barn.
Our glorious leader, Tubbs, is also one half of the fantastic duo Jack and Tubbs.
As of September 2006 we're now an all girl band....quite upsetting but the guys are off to better things!
...And as of a few months later we now have Ben as a guitarist! We're also trying to find a new name (at the moment we've resorted back to just the "Squiggle Band"), and in we have also formed a choir version of us - THE SQUIOR (squiggle + chior = squior, get it?)
