Adam Ruppel is the mastermind of ProView Studios and the producer of our 8 song self titled debut. Once we released the CD our popularity increased ten fold. We are now the most requested band with our song FALLAWAY on New Rock 96-7 KMRQ, and we just won the MAMA award for Best Alternative Indie. All of this not only our own achievement, but also is due to Adam’s hard work with us in and out of the studio.
The Current Status: "a THREAD", a new music project lead by former FISSURE members Nathan Carman(vox) and John Long(bass) is a project formed in the wake of FISSURE’s collapse. FISSURE is a unique band made up of life long friends that have made music with each other for over sixteen years. Although FISSURE, in its current line up, did not form until the summer of 2003, the music they currently play comes from the history these individuals share, mixed with elements of each members musical vision.
Starting off a string of shows in the Central Valley of California, FISSURE played the Battle Of The Bands hosted by the local rock radio station Rock 96.7 KMRQ. After their performance Adam Ruppel, the guitarist of systematic, approached them whereupon he expressed his interest in the band and a possible recording venture. After visiting his studio, seeing him at shows, and listening to his abilities, FISSURE felt it was time to start working with Adam. After struggling to balance recording and playing live, the group decided it was best to stop playing shows and focus on making the best recording possible. That is all history now.
The self-titled demo containing 8 songs, recorded and produced by Adam Ruppel, is finished has been released to the collective delight of your eardrums.
FISSURE won a Modesto Area Music Award under the category Best Alternative Indie, and is now featured in the Modestoview.com Hall of Fame.
FISSURE’s Single, "FALLAWAY" WAS featured on NEW ROCK 96-7 KMRQ’s play list. They play Spanish music now. No es bueno.
FISSURE has been featured in The Modesto Bee. Some articles were front page, some were in the Entertainment section, but always noted FISSURE as great up and coming artists working hard to push their careers to the heights of potential and beyond.
