Formed in the summer of 2006, Fist Full of Funk brought together musicians from all over the bustling metropolis of Duxbury, Massachusetts. The idea for the band came about when Carl Mehrmann contacted Rob Doran about forming a band along with Carl's younger brother Craig (The Cregger). The three played together a few times, but it was obvious that something was missing, namely a guitar player. Craig suggested Paul Sullivan, and also introduced the idea of adding a saxophonist, Colin Edgar, to the group.
From the first note, it was clear that these five guys had an infectious sound. The first song they played prompted Rob's overly proud mom to invite her friends over to hear the band play. With Colin Edgar manning not just one, but often two saxophones simultaneously; and Paul Sullivan adding -how else can I describe it- funky guitar, Craig, Carl, and Rob knew they had joined up with the right players to take their sound to the next level.

i see you've marked the date veerrry nice...we're also working on an outdoor day festival/party at my buddies spread! I'll let you guys know the more details i get
april 12th it is and don't worry about party we'll figure it out somehow even if it's a chill get together we'll definetly be pulling an all weekend jam fest.
